If the power goes down a grid tie will not function with out the grid being up. Kinda defeats the whole purpose for me. I want to be independent from the grid. The want you to be their slave.. to the grid... be the resistance. Watch my videos I show you everything. My panels arent too bad.

@shartne thats true. one of the things i see people do a lot is have a switch where they can choose between running on their battery bank or just going grid-tied.

@subscribeforcandy Take a look at helloman1976 system he has a nice one for the money. I like the fact that he has pure sine wave inverter and he uses really cheap batteries but has a very large storage capacity for the price.
