Awesome! I distinctly recall an introduction to this group when it came about in the magazine Hit Parader. This is the ultimate tribute to the rock bands of the 80s. This also showed how pure hearted these guys were. Instead of looking down upon their competitors and predecessors, they respected them.

Good job with the vid Motley14u. Stevie and the boys were playing in town last night. They stopped at my store after and it cool to see him again. (he grew up about 60 miles south of here) We shot the shit for a while and just before he cruised, he ran back int he store and gave me an autographed CD. Great guy and the rest of Tuff was cool as hell.
You all keep bashing grunge as if it's the sole reason glam died. Not true. MTV was the biggest reason. Remember how rock n' roll before the 80's was extremely experimental and diverse? That was because the music wasn't image-centric at the time, and multiple bands with multiple sounds could achieve success as a result. In the 80's MTV completely changed that and made the image just as, if not more, important than the music. If a band didn't look good in the video, then they weren't competitive.
Glam and new wave bands looked edgy to male fans and hot to female fans when they first came out, which is why they dominated the 80's. By the start of the 90's though, people had gotten sick of the same slick glammed out teased hair look and considered it boring and cliche. This is why grunge got so big, because it was the exact opposite. People started to view the gritty, dirty look as badass and attractive. MTV took note of this and only started playing bands and rappers that had that appeal.
I think Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, etc. as well as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden... would have gotten big regardless of how they looked, but you can't deny how important the image was to maintaining their respective scenes. And if MTV never existed, I doubt either scene would have gotten as big as they were, and furthermore grunge would not have so easily killed glam. Also, hip hop would not be nearly as big w/o MTV. They would probably all have coexisted together w/ equal popularity.

Seattle replaced LA as the epicenter of rock music, that's all. LA was WAAYYY past its peak (it hit that around 1987) and was on its way out as the dominant scene. I can't stand lame bandwagon bands man, Tuff was among the lamest of bandwagon bands in a scene full of them. Grunge sucks, always has, but I will say this, love him or hate him, Kurt didn't kill himself, he was killed. The pic of his body after they found him had the gun on the wrong side for him to have pulled the trigger. And quite honestly, his work ethic, even if it was for garbage music, was to be admired. He worked as hard as, if not harder than, any Hair Band to put out music. And quite honestly, I'm sure Kurt would be ashamed of music now, just as we are.

@ 1:38 the lyrics say "Vandenburg, Priest, Dokken Kix" etc. Judas Priest are pictured again right after the Vandenburg CD cover and before the Dokken clip. And besides Rob, the rest of the guys had hair. Its not an insult for them to be referred to as an 80s hairband.
i disagree. although, i do personaly like glam metal (or any metal for that matter) over grunge, you can't take away the fact that these people are talented. dave growl? one of the best modern drummers/singers/song writers. Grunge, IS music. and weather or not you LIKE the music, you should RESPECT the people who play it. (for example, i hate rap. but i respect the artist who is able to do it)
Grunge sucks ass - NO talent there. No good songs , No show , No good singing. There was nothing good about grunge...and thats why it lasted about 2 years while Hair Metal lasted 10.

Grunge sucks, always has, but I will say this, love him or hate him, Kurt didn't kill himself, he was killed. The pic of his body after they found him had the gun on the wrong side for him to have pulled the trigger. And quite honestly, his work ethic, even if it was for garbage music, was to be admired. He worked as hard as, if not harder than, any Hair Band to put out music. And quite honestly, I'm sure Kurt would be ashamed of music now, just as we are.

@ 1:38 the lyrics say "Vandenburg, Priest, Dokken Kix" etc. Judas Priest are pictured again right after the Vandenburg CD cover and before the Dokken clip. And besides Rob, the rest of the guys had hair. Its not an insult for them to be referred to as an 80s hairband.

i disagree. although, i do personaly like glam metal (or any metal for that matter) over grunge, you can't take away the fact that these people are talented. dave growl? one of the best modern drummers/singers/song writers. Grunge, IS music. and weather or not you LIKE the music, you should RESPECT the people who play it. (for example, i hate rap. but i respect the artist who is able to do it)
