Park Rangers and you were on US Forestry land, they had every right to have checkpoints, and based on the circumstances surrounding the event, the rangers were supposed to detain, search, whatever was necessary at the time. You watch Cops episodes these days, and 90 percent of the time it goes like this. Officer says "sit down and shut up!". Person under arrest says "why should I?". Cop tackles the then unsuspecting person. Cop screams stop resisting as he torques the persons arm back. Person goes to jail for Pi, or something else that they gave him not because he deserved it, or did anything anyone else would be arrested for, but because the cop didn't feel he had person undying loyalty and respect.

@growguyuk Aw, the only problems I had was in Porto Alegre in Rio Grande do Sul State (POA/RS) when I was at a public park and decided to have a joint by a tree, a cop shows up out of nowhere and points me a gun asking me to put it out. He took me to the police station and I stood there for 10h and testified 3x over the same thing. I wasn't being as polite as you should to a cop, so if you keep calm you should be able to get out in 5h.
Another issue was in Amsterdam where my mobile was stolen.

@scumgod13 Unfortunately that won't happen. People are more concerned with who wins the Super Bowl or what Charlie Sheen is up to than how their own government is taking away all their rights. And that's exactly how this happened. In England, college tuition was raised and there were mass protests. Same thing happens in France when their government tries to appease corporate interests.

There are 180 or so cops in a local city of over 100,000. they are thugs backed by the DOD... Can you imagine what will become of them if they act like this in a civil unrest situation? I guess now we know the real reason for the unConstitutional Executive Order 12425. FYI: Congress has no authority or jurisdictional authority over the rights of birthright Citizenship.

@Alien167 Thats such a sick way of looking at things, its understandable that police do abuse there powers, heck Bankers are fine at it too, come to think of it, quite a few people, after claiming authority, power trip. To say that police are the same is wrong though, dont stereotype every police officer, there not all the same. Admittedly the good officers are the minority and that is sad, but to say there all the same doesn't give credit to the police men and women who do there job properly!

@rowdyjoe1000 show me one thing they did wrong they asked him to get out of the van he started giving them problems he tripped and wasn't thrown to the ground they didn't put a knee in his back or on his neck she started out buy not following directions the head officer was nice and she still failed to follow directions.
trying to run throw road blocks and check point gives them the right to stop you and ask you to exit the van

@rowdyjoe1000 look here fuck face I volunteer for USFS & BLM fire & rescue as well as a guide and yes it takes months to clean up after your people and if its so peaceful and lawabidding why does every body scream 6up when we walk up.
the check points are to block roads that may be out of service or being worked on to show people where to go to keep people out if there is a fire to stop cars if somebody toke her baby and how do you know he did nothing wrong he could have had a warrant

hey not all cops are bad. it's a few people who forget the golden rule and abuse the power that is bestowed to them. maybe these cops had good reason for behaving the way they did but if it were them and there family in that position maybe they would have done things a little differently.
