I imagine Elly was speaking the lyrics of the song. They are actually quite morbid. I'm guessing that particular line freaked the hell out of Reisen.

Yeah, that's what I'm guessing too. The line Elly says is actually "good for nothing." Not sure why that'd freak her out so much, but I think I'd be freaked out too just by Elly. :P Maybe in this context Elly's using the phrase to describe Reisen because in the context of the song the narrator is describing themselves.

Well, Reisen did escape during the war on the moon. There are 2 theories of why. Either she was scared and fled to avoid getting killed, or her friends deemed her to weak and had her escape to safety. Either way, the "good of nothing" line could bring up lost feelings and guilt and probably really scared Reisen.
