Why bother to categorise? Just be a fan of music!
On topic: miRthkon are one of the best bands in modern music, Wally's compositions are some of the greatest since those of Stravinsky, Zappa, Cage, Ives, Stockhausen, etc.
Too true, people who don't categorise themselves as being part of a group based on musical tastes and clothing styles are generally more interesting too!
