@Luv2Huvr just got mine installed last week. imo it sound stock when u drive like a granny but with a bit more gas it opens up real nice. sound is more meaty compared and vtech is like making a girl squirt.. during long drives, u won't have problems with it.

I have the 08 Civic LX, wish I had the SI but that's a different story. Anyways, this may be a stupid question but is the CAI suppose to give us better gas mileage or worse?

I was looking online at K&N and the CAI for my car is only going to get me about 6 more HP, is it REALLY worth the money?

K&N included a heat shield surrounding the side of the filter next to the engine bay. the reason why they positioned the filter this way is to reduce contamination and the heat shield reduced radiant heat. lil heat>dirt

@Aldo586 no sir that is a short ram air, a cold air has the filter in the lower bumper where there is a plentiful amount of cold air it can suck directly yes this may use the factory tubing that goes down low but this is no where near as efficient as a CAI is, all the heat shield does is reduce the amount of heat that hits the filter but yet sadly this intake is just as vulnerable to heat soak but at least there isn't worries of hydro lock when you have a CAI

Nice car great sound, but here's my 2 cents =] Get a ebay CAI or SRI and simply replace the filter with a main brand (AEM, K&N, Injen ect.). Why? Because you're realistically paying for a pipe and a filter which by no means is worth $300 appose to the ebay $50 and maybe another $50 for the new filter. Without tuning for most cars, especially these 4 cylinders, a CAI/SRI will only add somewhere from 5 - 10 whp anyways. So unless you go to car shows and down want a cheap brand, why not save money?
