2:42 was one of best hand to hand combat sequences ive seen in a while. even better than any hand to hand stuff ive seen in the recent batman movies so far. it was extremely well coordinated, and the sound effects were great

@ExiledFromEden I highly doubt any of those cops would have died from the injuries he caused them. The are wearing Kevlar and geared up. None of the flames were actually lethal in scope or size, and with the op who took the hook to the chest, again Kevlar! They'd all have some minor burns and perhaps some broken bones,(definitely the one who took the grappler to the chest) but nothing more. I don't see anyone could assume they would have died from any of those injuries. Perhaps I have been shot

I don't like this version of the scene... In the original comic Rorschach jumps from the building and injures himself upon landing, causing him to be unable to run from the police at that point. In this scene Rorschach is completely owning the police, until the one part where he decides to unnecessarily beat on that one police man. Rorschach would never do that, and it's the only reason they manage to finally get him down in this scene.

I think the reason why Rorschach didn't take the M4 Carbines was that he didn't know how to operate them and didn't really have time to figure out, he's a hobo, how could he know how to use one? and he usually prefers to use improvised weapons as seen here.

Also, it might have just decided to not use them because it wasn't part of his plan to escape.

Setting someone on fire isn't what kills them. The fire itself suffocates them by devouring all the surrounding oxygen. That's why people can live with an entire body's worth of severe burns, and why flame-based weapons are banned by the Geneva Convention.

Take Jackie Haley and the Rorschach character away - the movie is no longer what it is. No one is going to watch this movie for Dr Manhattan or the Night Owl... heck even the Comedian was a more interesting character than all the rest put together - except of course for Rorschach.

The Watchmen is easily one of the most under rated movie of all times and it is pity that Jackie Haley did not get nominated for Best Supporting Actor
