Now the reason I don't think Donkey Kong Country shouldn't be on this list is because its a bad game dressed up with good graphics. I mean its more graphics than game. Now tell me, which wold you rather play? A good game with bad graphics? Or a bad game with good graphics? Donkey Kong Country is a very shallow game.

There are some things I disagree with on this list. First off your top two games, well both are good but I think Your number 2 is better than your number 1. Simply put, Chrono Trigger was a much deeper game with a better story and more realistic character. Super Metroid was good, but it wasn't as good as Chrono Trigger. The story is shallow and there's only 1 playable character in it. One Game I don't think should be on this list is Donkey King Country.

Your taste in games is great! I also played alot of Supermetroid, Chronotrigger and some street fighter, but the two first i mentioned are truly amazing games. If i was a chick I'd cry my ass off of the nostalgia.

Also people, these lists are based on peoples "feelings" toward a game. Not necessarily, that it's the "best game". I never see "Top Gear 3000" on any lists, but it would be on mine simply because of how much I played it, enjoyed it, and remember it from when I was younger.

I've beaten FFIV, Chrono Trigger and Super Metroid, and am currently in the middle of FFV (taking an RPG haitus until I get BBS). I also have, yet haven't beaten, Zelda: LttP, Mario All-Stars + Mario World, Secret of Mana, Donkey Kong Country, and FFVI. Any recommendations on which of the above games I should play next? Keep in mind that I don't intend to start an RPG or a Zelda game at this point in time, but who knows? All I know is that I just got a SNES, and I want to play some SNES.

most of the games on this list where just nintendo products really need a more diverse libray of games (such as having maybe a limit on each producer of 1 game. instead of just nearly all nintendo games maybe a best of the best, along with that you need more then just 1 game type spamed over and over which seems not to be a issue with this list but is with 75% of them (most of them are just full of rpg's and calling everything other then rpgs garbage.)

third generation: nintendo entertainment system (nes)

fourth genertaion: super nintendo

fifth generation: fight between N64 and Playstation (my favorite is ps1)

sixth gen: PS2 (dreamcast has too little game libraries)

seventh gen: PS3 (never liked wii much, xbox 360 is not bad too, thanks to halo)

Couldn't agree more with the SNES being the best system of all time... its just too easy to name a handful of great games. And, everybody's top 10 list could be different, yet every game on that list you can damn well bet is top notch. Personally, my top 10 looks something like: 1. Secret of Mana 2. Super Metroid 3. FFVI 4. SSFII: The New Challengers 5. Mega Man X 6. Super Mario World 7. Super Mario RPG 8. TLoZ: A Link to the Past 9. Chrono Trigger 10. Star Fox Again, different. But all good.

castlevania 4 was a master peace what konami dit in the early 90,s on a snes is enormouse.

barely realistic graphics and astounding music,sound effects wich blows me away,it feels like watching a horror movie.

this game is even stereo metrixed coded allowing for dolby surround.
