From then on I bought everything with the name Michiel van der Kuy on it. :-)
Today, 25 years later my children very often ask if I can play this music for them. This will be my all time favorite album I think.
Now I know where people like Michael Cassette and Eric Prydz got their inspiration from. This stuff is WAY before it's time in terms of electronic music.

Massive Linn drum beats, powerful Juno basslines and outstanding synths to make great and memorable melodies. The only thing I can think of as being just average are the vocoders here.
But really, Michiel van der Kuy outdid himself in 1987 when he composed the album we know as Future Generation, containing this superb track as its opening. Such a revolutionary vinyl he made and possibly could never match up to again with his later productions.

Michiel+Erik play this song with Roland Juno 106,MKS-70,Korg DVP-1,Akai MPC 60,Linn Sequencer. I was 1996 in his Studio in Leidschendam NL.

Cool, I've actually got this original LP, bought in the release year after hearing "power run" in an outside summerdisco in Sweden...(thnx 2 the dj!)
@ that time there were nothing like these sounds out as far as I know anyway...got addicted immediately :)
(Yea, Koto & some other stuff like Hipnosis were out, but nothin' as good as this !)
