i am a huge radiohead fan...i have every one of their albums....and i can't go a day with out listening to them...However i really am disappointed at Thom York for that snide little comment he made before the start of this song "New song to Zone out to...Its bonaroo your all zoned out anyway"...Being a long time Jam bands fan too...it kind of offends me that he would make such a comment that stereotypes.
He was right wasen't he? If it makes you feel anybetter they all think that this is one of, if not there best gig. they all said they loved the crowd, there's even a video were he say's "this is how a festival is done."
i actually didnt catch them at bonnaroo but i saw their next two nights in chicago and as excited as i was at how good the new songs were we had to wait that long for some real recordings (everything on the internet was pretty crappy quality before the release)so it was the whole blessing/curse thing
I remember him saying that thing about being zoned out and I remember this song. It was an amazing show. The glow sticks flying overhead were enough to cause a seizure.
I love seeing early takes on songs. This one is interesting because it differs every so slightly from the studio version (two bridges), and it's just fun to see them working it out on stage. Good song.
I'm surprised this song is played so litle on my local radio station. There was one day they'd play either Bodysnatchers, Nude or Jigsaw Falling Into Place once an hour but the next day it disappeared. They only play Bodysnatchers once in a blue moon. I think a bunch of people called in and bitched how Radiohead were garbage and they wanted to hear Plain White T's and Beadioun Soundclash [or whoever]
Yeah, many people hear a song that's fresh and creative, and they go, "This band is too good for my tastes! I cannot handle a band this excellent! Please, take me back to the boring, stale, overly dramatic crap with juvenile and 4th-grade level lyrics that I know and love!"
God I'm so excited. Only a couple hours to go. This song is amazing, and I trust "In Rainbows" is going to be incredible too. I think it's gonna blow my mind.
i really hope the structure of the album version is similar too this one. the "has the light gone out for you?" section is so brilliant it deserves a repeat
anyone would be stunned to see that live out the box

"Radiohead is smart."
Smarter than you, and smarter than Chuck Klosterman..
though Klosterman knows it.
Which makes him a fucking genius along with these brilliants.
