Well, as a drummer, I suggest you just adopt a marching cadence or two. Then fit words to it -- then you have the meter. After that, you can work on rhyme, parallelism and assonance. I think that the most basic part to English poetry is the cadence.

You started out that one as a limerick, but then lost the rhythm at the end.

But the number word ONE actually does not occur there. ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ μαρτυρῶν περὶ ἐμαυτοῦ ἐγώ εἰμι = I am ὁ = the μαρτυρῶν = bearing witness ὁ μαρτυρῶν = he who bears witness περὶ ἐμαυτοῦ = about myself. You can idiomatically translate ὁ μαρτυρῶν as the one bearing witness, where one is a pronoun, not a number.

In Exodus 21:20 god doesn't say its ok, it says who ever beats his slave with a rod, if the slave dies they will be punished. Never says it is ok to beat a slave. In judges 11:30-40 you have completely misunderstood it. The daughter does not get sacrificed, god did not demand anything.
