  • In Soviet Union, copyright infriges YOU!

  • this ripped off SNL

    not the other way around

  • Poor imitation of original SNL's original. I love how the Russians don't even laugh at most of this.

  • IM SORRY! Does this mean us russians are forbidden to make funny videos? yeah?

    plagiarism? bull!

  • @TheKookabucka once, again, have you seen the original? It's exactly the same. Exactly.

  • slavs are the niggers of europe

  • i wish the american snl would plagarize the old ones

  • a bunch of morons are calling this a parody. so i can cross out Mike Myers's name on an Austin Powers DVD, sell millions of copies and call it "parody"

  • I think in the contrary is good that they were able to reproduce it as funny as the original American version. They should've credited... but it fulfilled its purpose.. Humor is universal..

  • fail

  • not a plagerisusm just a coincidence

  • parody- any humorous, satirical, or burlesque imitation, as of a person, event, etc

plagiarism- the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.

  • Even the font they used for the 50,000 is exactly the same.

  • Comment removed

  • I think both versions are good in their own ways. I think they should have combined elements from both versions.

  • When Chris Farley says, "Holy Mother of God." I wanted to see that one.

  • It is a parody not plagiarism...o.o;

  • I think it's from "Yesterday Live" — it is a lame rip-off from american "Saturday Night Live". Google it for more information.

  • US steals many shows from Japan and Europe, russians steals from US. It's a "Global TV-Shows Cycle")

  • This was probably just a shout-out to the original sketch. America does this stuff all the time, so it's not too uncommon.

  • not as good as the original

  • They obviously just did a "cover" if you will, of it.

  • I dont understand a n y t h i n g from this video((

  • @SuperChester94 They speak in fake japanese and russian. Of course you don't understand that if you don't know russian.

  • the original is on Hulu. They can't copy the talent of Chris Farley.

  • oh WOW didn't even TRY to change it up

  • I really really wish the original one was still on here (your link to it is broken now). I saw it over half a decade ago, and the way Chris Farley screams bloody murder at the end of it saying "I DONT SPEAK JAPANESE IM AMERICAN!!!!!" is just priceless lol

  • @xxrobfalconxx Try any of the links of googlevideo by searching "chris farley japanese game show"

  • Hell, Farley was DEAD before any of these people were even BORN!

  • Horrible. Myers' Show really looks like Japanese one, and his audience knows what Japanese show is. Couldn't do at least good quality remake.

  • They do that all the time in Russia. They redid several old US TV shows pretty much scene by scene with just a few changes to make it more 'Russian'.

  • You're right! Identical in every way! I can't think it would be as funny without the persona of Chris Farley though, he can't be duplicated by an overweight person.

  • Although this performance is incomparable with Mike Myers - IT IS FAIR REUSE. They act for different audience. Get real people ! 80% of Russians DO NOT KNOW Myers !

  • LOLOLOLOLOL

  • lol that first guy looks like adam carolla.

  • I'm Russian and frankly I'm ashamed. I think this sketch is pure fail. These dumb Russian shows need to be original and stop biting off American culture. It's pathetic.

  • It`s not a parody. They are just making fool of japaneses.

  • also plagurism off the american skit. but yea i agree even thought its meant to be funny like tht

  • Comment removed

  • Where is 1%? Okey, I guess you're right. But I thing that they had those rights earlier, maybe in 2000 becouse you said the original skit was in midle 90's.

  • No, I haven't seen the original skit. Do you want to say that act is the same? I don't think that Galkin wanted to steal it. He did a parody and nothing else.

  • Basically if you watch the original, you'll notice that it is 99% identical. Even the set, and the 'fake japanese' is the same. My guess is that they didn't contact & got the rights to use this idea, which is theft of intellectual property: Plagiarism. But there is a possibility they got the rights, I just think it is extremely unlikely seeing as how Russians steal everything usually.

  • No way to tell now... NBC got the SNL clip removed from Youtube. But I believe you. Capitalism is all about theft.

  • This is in no way a parody of the original skit. They translated the original skit and acted it out, just not as well. That does not equal a parody.

  • This is just a parody of that show. Why people should think that this is a plagiarism? Galkin is a great actor. He has his own show.

I do not understand agoncharov why you had written Russian SNL Plagiarism? If I were you, I would write Russian SNL Parody.

  • Have you seen the original?

  • @Dimiuanima u cannot copy a film completely and call it a parody... you add your own comedic ideas

  • No intellectual property law on the planet, including U.S. law, would require Galkin to get permission for this. These are different actors, making different sounds. Even if the core idea is the same, this kind of general similarity is not punishable by law. And with good reason.

  • I didn't say he should be punished by law. I just think that he is a cheap.

  • You shouldn't be so hard on him. I mean, he ALREADY comes home to an old lady every night :-)

  • Well, gerontophilia is definitely not punishable by law ;-)

  • Is that it, you think? He's gerontophilic? Because I just thought he used her to get ahead, or perhaps he was attracted to her back when she was young and he was a little kid? Then he got famous enough to get a date with her, and simply never realized that a lot of time had passed.

  • Well, yeah, just like Kirkorov, but in a slightly more severe form...

  • and the worst thing is that how the hell did they thought chris farley as just another fat guy. i am really pissed off by this video.

  • instead of being pissed off research how much had been copied from one country to another over the years. it happens all over the world

  • Do you have another link to the original Myers/Farley video? This one does not work.

Некоторые даже называются так же как западные оригиналы ("Who wants to be a millionaire", Weakest Link).

Wheel of Fortune.

  • Fuck NBC Universal!

  • how original...derrrrrrrrrrrrp

  • hahah lol - people chill out - it is just a parody

  • wtf is this

the original one is so much better

  • It's the worst plagiarism I've ever seen.

Maxim Galkin (the host) is not really Mike Mayers and that fat asshole is nothing like Criss Farley..

I was realy disapointed to see that... shame to all who participated in that shit!!!

  • This is not suposed to be a show, its justt a parody.

  • this shit is really shit

  • What's the Russian equivalent to Milwaukee, WI?

  • Khabarovsk

  • lol i guess SNL doesn't care enough to sue... or do they?

  • This is so stupid!!!!!!!! you can come close to Chris Farley

  • this is rediculiously STUPID!!

  • it's probably meant to copy the original skit. Maybe that SNL just got to Russia. lol. No in all seriousness... I think the intention was to be a remake and not really just a rip-off perse.

makes me wonder what the rest of this particular episode was like. maybe it was all remakes of old skits... like for the new year special.

  • Wow, not bad, although it's complete plagiarism. I hate it when they always show the audience in Russian shows... Who cares if some bearded guy is laughing like a retard? The girl in blue looks hot, by the way.

  • they show the audience because alot of those people are pretty famous in Russia. I think it's meant to give the show some extra credibility :). The show itself is a piece of shit, the host is a 30 year old homosexual who recently married a 70something year old pop diva. Sick shit!

  • I'm aware, we have a few Russian channels at home, and I'm from Ukraine myself. There is some gossip you just can't avoid hearing about... Fuck them anyway.

  • This is outright plagiarism! This is one of my favorite SNL skits ever... They even copied the names!

    Lousy acting!

  • The actors are pathetic. It is a demonstration of how great the SNL skit and the actors are.

  • Why....do you understand Russian?

  • I don't need to. Consider the expressions, voice inflection, timing, etc. Try this: watch original version with sound off. Still hilarious. This is not funny at all.

  • This is actually looke even funnier after I watched the original. Galkin FTW

  • Horrible, always a bad idea to put yourself to diect comaparison to such comedic legends as Myers and Farley.

  • I completely mistyped "direct comparison". :-P

  • horrible actors

  • This is pure ripoff of the American skit indeed. However, i find it much better played with much more able actors, subtle humor inside and much better parody on Japanese behavior. I'm surprised to find that it almost "stolen" line per line from SNL but this is completely unnatural skit in Russian humor tradition.

  • Well...Thearetically, it's possible that they've offically bought the right to show this. :/

  • I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they credited SNL / Mike Myers / Chris Farley. If they didn't, this is the lamest clip I think I've ever seen.

  • WTF????????

  • I personally cannot stand plagarism, taking credit for other people's work. It's a piss off. This is IDENTICAL to the SNL skit...but brutal.

  • I speak Russian and the dialog as almost 100% as the original.

  • Being Russian Chris Farley fan I have to say that this is the lamest piece of shit I have seen in a while. I just cannot help but feeling bad for many Russians who do not speak English and have no idea how brilliant the original is.

  • The tourist doesn't just walk off of the stage, he is surrounded by foreigners, and he feels socially pressured to not ruin the game. He tries to be a good sport. Showing the audience, which is russian and NOT japanese, destroys the tension. The mania that Chris Farely goes through is missing. Was the whole thing meant to be low key and "genteel" on purpose? Where's the point of how Japanese games shows revel in the torture of their contestants

  • So you're saying, that not only was the acting bad, that they entirely missed the whole 'idea' of the comedy/satire behind the whole skit.

    LOL

    I agree.

  • the fat guy is a really bad actor.

  • I'm Japanese. Their fake Japanese is heard like Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian.

It is a doubt that those who answer at it and the center wear the Chinese dress. The

Chinese dress is clothes of China. lol

  • Not as good as the American one...

  • the american version was GREAT!!! they were showing the best of mike myers the other night and they showed this and simon, etc. it was GREAT

  • This is intresting, I'm Puerto Rican and I think its cool to watch. Although the US version was much better.

  • This is intresting, I

  • can someone post the real Chris Farley version. I remember seeing it some time ago and it is HILARIOUS !!!!!!!

  • I found the SNL version. It is under "Japanese Game Show", and it was posted barely 2 weeks ago! I love it!

  • Exact same as the SNL version, but 10 times less funny. A decent attempt, but I just saw the real version on SNL 3 days ago and the Russian version just lost all of the spirit.

  • Would it still be funny if the Russians voice-dubbed Farley's English? You haters need to relax. Russians want to enjoy comedy and laugh the same as you do, and I doubt that all Russians are fluent English speakers (and would therefore enjoy the Farley version).

  • that is awful

farley was an amazing actor RIP and 1 of the funniest guys EVR this is such a ripoff

  • don't say fucking russians u fucking piece of sh*t

  • Wow not only was this a blatant ripoff, it was not even close to as funny because the acting jobs were terrible. Chris Farley and Mike Myers were the sole of that skit and the Russian actors could not pull it off. They need some more delay and pause before they answer questions to hint at it being a random guess or him asking him to repeat the question when he asks hachi ju hachi as a question not as the answer. Ruined.

  • those bastards!!!!! they have soiled the good name of Farley! this even seems less funny. and i speak Russian!

  • Wow a cheap Russian knock off of the late great Chris Farley. Now I have seen everything.

  • Spasibo, vse pravilno govorish.

Author! In what is plagiarism?? This is a travesty of Asian television, which, by the way here in Youtube to dick.

  • looooool

this quiz show "大賢人" is sooooo funny! but pronunciation of the fat man sounds like russian

  • And what is so surprising? Russians ripoff way too many shows and even TV series. I don't know a single modern show that doesn't have a foreign original. They just don't have any good ideas of their own.

  • Chinks? you're an ignorant fuck

  • The parody is about a Japanese gameshow, that's why it's "asian". I have to say Mike Myers and Chris Farley (R.I.P.) did a better job, though the Russians weren't bad at all. :)

  • This is like Asian not russian!

  • first off, russia is part of asia.

this is a ripoff of the mike myers skit with farley and alec baldwin.

  • Dude, it's Adam Carolla as the first contestant!!!

  • lol thats what I thought too

  • total ripoff, thanks for posting

  • LOOOOL at what he says at 2:47

  • I have the original video at home! I hope they bought the copyrights... if not... they are in big troubles.

Niè Pyaniè Mayou! or something like that...Haha! Paka! (I learned that in Kiev)

  • That's amazing! So that means you can probably figure out what year it came out... I assumed mid 90's.

  • Well Chris Farley was in SNL from 1990-1997. And Mike Myers was working from 1989-1995. So it's between 1990-1995. But I would guess between 1993-1995. But I just have the clip, not the whole show so I donno which day it is.

  • Its what the russians do best... steal good ideas from others and do a bad job of copying them.

But the original was pretty awesome!

  • Exactly ... I have yet to see something original as of late ...

  • This is sad, it's only not plagiarism but bad plagiarism, they suck

  • thats only because your too used to american sketch comedy shows, other countries have television producing too, you did know that right?

  • I am Japanese. I would like to say sorry fo you guys. We have lots of stupid quiz shows that are so funny but nonsense. Why nonsense? Because in Zen, Japanese Buddhism, the most important things is NOTHINGNESS. Things should have any meanings, values and feelings. Everything is supposed to be like water in the ocean, the sun and the moon in the sky whatever whatever. World peace!

  • Geez didn't even attempt to make it even a little bit original. That's sad.

  • You knew it was coming...

In Russia, the copy rights YOU!

  • Plagiarism.

  • What the public doesn't know, won't hurt them.

  • Rip Off!

  • Those crazy Russians...
