Kit Carson wasnt much better than Hitler, and our government punished him by naming a US capital after him. What a joke. But all that aside I absolutely adore seeing Natalie interviewed during that movie and time in her life. It's so rare to see something like this. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

This is Gig Young hosting one of the early Warner Bros. TV series, a "wheel" show with TV series based on "Casablanca" and "King's Row" and the original series "Cheyenne." At the end of each show, Gig Young would publicize a new Warner's release, which is why this footage is presented in b&w, a chance to see what "The Searchers" might have looked like that way. As we can see, they chose the two best scenes from the "picture," a term for a movie worth reviving.

If the white man had not settled this land, the indians would still be cooking their meat over fires fueled by buffalo dung.

DEAR MARTIN: Where abouts in Asia did the ORIGINAL Americans come from? If they came from India, one could PROBABLY call them Indians. But MY ancestors came from the state of Wales - the oldest State in Britain - but that doesn't make me Welsh. Maybe they were from elsewhere in Asia. But that wouldn't make them Asians, either! Why not unite the 2 U.S. states of Dakota and hand it back to them, let them run it like a state.
