  • This video is popular on Korea, North

  • 素晴らしい!の一言

  • Very, very nice playing. However, it instantly reminds me of Adrian Legg and his astonishing technique. Using a B-bender is child's play compared to his stuff - no offense intended whatsoever.

  • Dear Soren, the universal joy of the Telecaster is endless. I just saw the B-bender at Guitar Center in Boston this us Labor Day ( What a Laugh!) Untill I saw your video I wasn't very impressed, but your use of the reverse release really shows what the device can do. Nevertheless, the B-bender seems somewhat limited... It seems many good players can achieve the same effect with good ole' string pulling. ( More to come)

  • @00Jackacid - More...good ole' string pulling. When I was playing country-rock up in Woodstock, NY the summer of '76 there was a fellow player with a string-bender mechanism, but as I recall it worked with a lever off the back of the guitar that you pressed against you body...I think he could bend more than one string at a time as well. I ran into him at a diner in Kingston off the Thru-way some years later, but didn't realize what a great guy he was until later. God Bless...B. Holvenstot

  • he's from Denmark. of course he has suits of armor in his living room

  • I am saving up to get a G and L classic tele and have gene parsons install a b bender himself and have it shipped back to me ,.It will happen in 4 months!!

  • Brilliant playing! You sound just incredible! Thank you for sharing!

  • Nice work. I have serial number CW059

  • shut the fuck up and play !

  • very cool!!

  • Nicely done, you do Clarence proud

  • what amp are you using and what do you think of hot rod deluxe, do u know any good pedals to make good overdrive on hot rod deluxe, cheers

  • @TheTangentUK ibanez tubescreamer is my preference. boss overdrive or super overdrive

  • I've been playing guitar for 40 years, and I never knew about the b-bender. You're a pretty fair picker with or without the b-bender too!

  • The Parsons White is the best of the 3 I have tried. I can even add a G bender or D to the White, but not the Parsons Green bender. The Glaser has too short a throw for most players to get used to. It is cleaner looking, but if you can't play it why bother with it. These are still the best ones around for what my opinion is worth. Dallas Steel is selling them through WD now, and for $600 or so I can retrofit most Teles.

  • Dang that is freakin awesome. Love that.

  • Fantastic playing. Great sounding guitar. Thumbs up.

  • great playing man! Very cool to see someone from denmark playing such great country licks. The tele sounds great too, by the way.

  • fantastic!!!

    hi from ITALY

  • I love when danish people speak english :)

Man I want one of those guitars!

  • Wonderful demonstration, Soren. You have a great collection of teles and armor. You are set!

  • Soren - great playing!

  • Required listening for B-bender fans: "Yesterdays Train" on Byrds "Untitled" album. Clarence Whites Tele sounds exactly like a pedal steel!

  • super you bender !!

    vive clarence with

  • can you turn the b bender off

  • @85funnyguy No, just dont bend it if you dont want the sound!

  • i just got a b-bender...hard to stop using it on everything..tele-holic ha ha

  • Its such a beautiful guitar and sound. Telecasters are amazing alone, but the b bender is a grand invention. How much did one of those set you back? Nice upload, and playing:) do you play any byrds songs?

  • One of these in these in the so called Botswana Brown, with a black pickguard. Ten Years Gone all the way!

  • Springer man ikke B strengen meget hurtigere med B-benderen? Translation: Wouldent you break the B string much faster with the B-bender?

  • @rishino i broke 3 B strings the first day bending it all over the place but i put a heavier b string on and no probs..was using an .11 now a .13 and seems to be ok..

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHAT ARE SOME POPULAR B BENDER SONGS?

  • @mrlandroverdiscovery Listen to "Yesterdays Train" on Byrds "Untitled" album. Amazing B-bender licks by Clarence White duplicate the pedal steel sound so realistically, you'll be amazed!

  • @whocares1694

Actually, Sneaky Pete Kleinow (of Flying Burrito Brothers fame) played Pedal Steel on that particular track. Still a great track.

  • @mrlandroverdiscovery all the Clarence white period BYRDS records from Younger than Yesterday up to Further Along. Clarence white also plays b bender guitar on '12 songs ' by Randy Newman and on Gene parsons' 1st solo LP.

  • Should play black metal.

  • Thank you Danish dude.

    Lovely final chord!!

  • Dude beautiful guitar, awesome sound and great playing!

  • omg thats the coolest thing ive seen in awhile.. i looked it up after seeing one on ebay

  • Which pickups did you install? Guitar sounds great!

  • Nice playin´ man!

  • A very valuable guitar--I see you've brought two armed guards along to protect it against theft. :-)

  • @aarfeld those guys play great slide guitar

  • @Voltara: You're no slouch on the B-bender yourself. Is Country Rock popular in Denmark? Do you play in a band over there? Nice pickin'.

  • Too cool for words. Well-done.

  • does it bend all the strings or just the b?

  • Gene Parsons needed 300$ from my dad to start the b bender company and my dad wouldn't do it because he didn't think anyone would buy it haha. He still talks to Gene every once in awhile.

  • Hey check out my band The Relix rockin' out on a 1996 american Tele!

  • Very good picking. FYI, the original Clarence White./ Gene Parsons Telecaster is in the very capable hands of Marty Stuart. Licks from Hillbilly Rock and up to today he's played on Clarence's guitar. I've seen the video of Gene explaining how the B bender came about. Very cool, thanks!

  • Thanks for this vid! very cool.

  • nice playing dude, I dig the suits of armor

  • ~Cheers to Denmark Country & Blues players~ Great video, wish there was more. Thank you for sharing.

  • Love that sound. I love Tele's also! I have an American Standard. What I really love also are the complete armor sets in the background!

  • fantastic guitar

  • I must have one of these guitars !!!!!

  • im not a guitar enthusiast, but that is a genius idea!!!

  • Are you in a band there? Please do tell, more info please. lol.

  • Love it, great demo and great picking.

  • Nice demonstration.

  • hi is it much heavier than standard tele?

  • OMG, that jazz with the b-bender was just awesome!!

    Dm

  • Jimmy Page used a B-Bender on the Led Zepellin song "All of My Love."

  • stfu

  • hearing a Dane play country telecaster just made my day

  • no doubt! mine too!

  • wow this thing is amazing wish i could have it put onto my nashville tele

  • @mgsg50 I put a HipShot b-bender that I picked up from Will Ray on my Fender Nashville Telecaster and it works quite well, it takes about a half hour to install. Much easier than routing out the back!!!

    See ya'

    See ya'

  • Great demo. Really nice to see the Bender mechanism on the back in action. It's the essence of the country sound.

  • what an amazing piece of musical eqipment!

  • This dude has some skills. Makes me feel like I've never played a guitar before!

  • I got to meet Marty Stuart after a concert and as you know is what he plays, An incredible guitar

  • in some cases a tremolo wouldnt be practical. With this device it smoothly, I repeat, smoothly make the transition from one note to a full-step higher. Tremolo's for one, arent all the same, so they have a tendency to provide tuning problems, and two, arent always set up to be floating so going a full step wouldnt be possible. Floyd Roses, Bigsby's, Vibrola's, and Fender Strat bridges are all different in terms of what they are meant to do and how they sound

  • Super cool.

  • Thanks for posting this really good demo of the b-bender. I heard the sound a lot, but never would have guessed to this device :)

  • Very cool ! The guys in the back look kinda bored though.

  • Thanks for sharing that, what an awesome device, I've never been into Tele's until recently so wasn't even aware of this modification until now. Thanks for enlightening me. ;-) Great sound too btw.

  • this is great. i like this video. i hate it when i want to see how something works, so they show they playing with it, but they play with it once or twice, or play it to often and not show us how it can be used, or don't put it into a reall world context. thats why i like this video, he showed it in a perfect way.

  • dude AMAZING work and incredible sound

    really well done 5/5

  • Awesome! You have great chops and a fantastic tone. Nicely done! That B-bender sounds really great. Are they commercially available, or were they a limited run?

  • wow! very ingenius! dr house! :-)

  • did you say copenhagen. cuz copenhagen is amazing

  • Very nice! Going to order an install from Gene when the rebate check comes in!

  • I own a Fender CW tele too. What is your serial number? Mine is CW081

  • you just hit your guitar with the strap lol on 1:19

  • Jeg er også en Teleholiker! Hehe, Når ja kan du lide Status Quo?

  • How come those two dudes at the back ain`t dancin`?

    Great sound you have!

  • i want one of these!

  • Thats nice playing sir. The only thing is...

why destroy a guitar like that... just bend the string instead in a steady motion... hey but everybody is free to do what they want.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah...a jazz player wouldnt understand the significance lol

  • The B-Bender allows you to bend one string up and bend a string down at the same time. Its impossible on a normal guitar. Its not destroyed. They come fitted with it

  • man that sounds sooooo beautiful,i love it!!

  • je n'ai jamais vu et entendu ça!!! c'est génial!!!

  • wow.......i want this tele!!!

  • That is REALLY cool. I have never seen one of these in person. Thanks for the demo!

  • i was lucky enough to find one in a helsinki music shop, and i had a go on it... holy shit, the experience was awesome...

my non-bender tele (a Squier... i wasn't rich when i bought it!) is not as exciting now :/

    ;)

  • Marty Stuart has the original Clarence White Tele...He bought it from Clarence's widow...

  • I'll sell you mine.

    I hardly use it.

  • how much you want man shoot me an message back on this thing

  • i final know what that device is on that tele, i saw a random picture of it which had zero explanation of what it did. thats pretty cool though, never do that to my tele but i want to play one of these babies!

  • why do you have your guitar so high it looks kind of funny

its like the beatles or the animals

  • Probably because he isn't a 14 year old who would thinks its cool to have your guitar hanging to your knees

  • Because that's how it's played.

  • Sweet!

  • ...For a second there I thought I wrote this in my sleep! Haha just kidding Cody. It seems we have met yet again via the comments! Does this mean we are both addicted to YouTube guitar videos?

    From,

    Cody (codyt5)

  • I think so. Either that or we are two sides of some poor bastard's schizophrenia.

  • There are other vids out there of course but this one really explains nicely. Good!

  • Very good video.

    Informative presentation with excellent demonstration.

    Thanks from Canada

  • ingenious! These americans are very clever.

  • Nice presentation. Have 3 of them, none with bender...

  • very good guitar !! my sonho ! wow !

  • Fantastic !!

  • danish cool:D

  • Hello Sören,

This Telecaster Is The Best I've Ever Heard,WoW !!!

How Much Is It In Euros and How Does It Compare

To The Standard Stringbender Telecaster ?

Are The New Nashville B-Bender Teles With The

Poplar Body Better Than The Standard B-Bender

Models With An Ash Body ?

    You Sound Great,Keep Twangin' !!!

    Thank You & Greets, Gordon : )

  • Wow, that's not only a cool installation but damn, awesome playing. Soren's one heck of a guitar player!

  • Great video mate, thankyou

  • Very nice, and educational.

  • Very nice Tele, with some sweet picking!!

  • that's feeling man!!!! you rock!!!!

  • Nice playing man, unique sound them teles have. Sweet angel hymns.

  • a "tele-holic"! ha. me too!

  • cool guitar, and great playing!

  • Lovely guitar, fantastic playing, and some cool history on Clarence White...

I could only afford a Hipshot for my Tele. :)

  • thats so cool! ive never actually heard one played before

  • Maybe I don't entirely understand this, but you can do very similar without it too, just bending the B string, no?

  • No, similar, but you don't have to bend with this and you can do it in the middle of chords, it raises the note to C# almost immediately

  • Man, thats some SWEET playing...rock on man!

  • love this dudes accent

  • Brilliant.

  • YEE HAW!!

  • Wow!!! That's super smooth playing!!! Love it!!!

  • love some clarence

  • is it atall possible that a fender telecaster can be made so that a scratch plate cannot be bought and put on??

  • that's gold, man... pure gold

  • Nice, I was lucky enough to play the original, it was awkward with a piece of masonite or something like that on the back.

  • by the way, nice armor! that looks really cool!

  • Just wonderful!

About those drop-d tuners, are they the same on both the high and low e-string? Are they the same as d-tuners on a banjo?

Can you show how to use them?

  • Hey There , they are the same. They are called Scruggs tuners. They are the same ,as on a banjo. You've got two screws and a locking point, and then yoo turn the knob down and backwards. It's a little un-precise, but no one hears when the music is playing...

    Best Regards

    Soren Sebber

  • I never knew what a B Bender was. Now that Ive heard, I realize what I have been hearing al these years! Wonderful! thanks for the video.

  • You're welcome. Yes, I used to wonder if it was a pedal steel I heard in various country tunes ...

  • @wideseen

I don't get it. How do you use the spring device while playing? How does this guitar differ from any other electric guitar?

  • @ElvisStillRules the strap button creates a reverse whammy effect when u pull on it.

  • Albert Lee does some amazing B-bender videos, too.

  • nice tone!!

  • Thanks for the demo - excellent playing and tone.

  • B-bender Fender Telecaster Cool metalica used this for the unforgiven two which was played live only once..this is a nice gutiar..country playing too.

  • simply beautiful

  • So wicked!

  • I'm salivating like a big curry is about to be dished up. Slow perfect picking rather than the mindboggling guitar gymnasticsa lot of pickers. I know it was just a demo, but that's fine playing

  • Great picking and information.

  • ha dude that is awesome
