Lovely to watch them play but please take of the chokechain when your dogs are playing. Some terrible accidents have happened when dogs get stock to each other and panic.
we have a 4 month old Akita Inu puppy and two Maine Coone kittens (similar age)and they all get along really well. Our puppy (Sienna) was socialised from a very early age so is absolutely no bother at all. She sleep with our son and is soooo cuddly.
Doberman and Akita! I would NOT want to intrude in that house :) Just DONT let your ins company know about them. Mine gave me a hard time because i have a German shepherd.. i hate how they prejudice certain breeds. Beautiful dogs you have!

The whole thing is stupid, it's not all about the breed, it's how there raised. In Petsmart last week, a lady was walking a Pitbull that was so well disciplined and friendly..i had my German shepherd, and we were able to let them sniff each other, then they became friends! lol, Wish i had a camera!

Don`t like the title. I have personally seen An akita fight, not just one dobe, but two at the same time.. The Akita ripped the face off of one dobe, and beat the other so bad it was not funny. Dobe`s are good dogs and obedient. They would give their lives for their master. The akita is an awesome dog..both breeds are special. I do not think that any type of dog fighting is good. I think youll find thats PLAY fighting. You wuold know it if they kicked off properly. (Be glad they don't) BEAUTIFUL DOGS THOUGH :D especially the Dobe. Much stronger than they look.
We also have an akita and doberman, and they play like this. The akita is way WAY bigger and stronger, and in a real fight would win easily, but in play fighting, the doberman's quickness and agility usually wins. In general, I would recommend that anyone who wants 2 dogs, to get 1 male and 1 female. They won't fight...ever. The boy will let the girl win.

Whenever they get fed, or fiven treats, Harvey always makes sure Pippa gets first. Also, if they have chews he chews both first to soften them up so Pippa can eat hers easily >.<
its cute, but you can tell they are playing. When Akitas get fierce you can tell, because they growl, snap, and definetly don't wag their tail lol. My opinion is a Male Akita could take down a Doberman if the dog was tempermental toward it, but my female has killed cats groundhogs and rabbit (She's Rabid lol, jk) but she has also seriously injured a pitbull that had been mocking her for 3 years. They are definitely just playing. I just to have an akita and my aunt has one. Her is pretty agressive torwards any other dog but precious and caring to us. I think akitas naturally don't get along the best with other big dogs, but i could be wrong. Plus it could be my aunts fault for not socializing her akita--i dont know the situation. Now i'm comtemplating on getting a doberman. Both are beautfiul breeds! Both so loyal and protective. My two favorite breeds in this video..

And then on Untamed&Uncut on animal planet some lady got attacked by a bear while gardening and she call her dogs ( @ Akita's) and the chased it off. And by the way they can they were originally used for Hunting and bringing down bears and today they are still used for such things like that and even dog fighting look into the breed

I read some of the comments. One must realize an Akita, which I have one with same markings in this video, usually are weary with other dogs. However, I have a Weimaraner who plays with my akita the same way as these 2 dogs do. However, I always keep an eye when they're playing because one swap with his big paws to my skinny Weimaraner may injure it. The doberman and akita seem to be playing well togehter.

Akita's are fine with other pets as long as you socialize them from puppy on, mine curls up with my Cat , they groom each other, they also drink from the same water bowl at the same time (Yea the cat gets drown in slobber water and runs off)

We had an Akita. They love dog friends they can rough house with. Makes them more balanced to live with. Ours played just like that, great to watch and hope they became fast friends.

that isnt a big male doberman it is medium size and not as bulky as mine hes Dennis and is very clever at play fighting my staffy and german shepherd/staffy cross cos he will always drop his head down so his throat cant get bit and will try to catch the others throats and usually does.
That is a big male Doberman the Akita looks like a Female, Anyways the Akita is much more stocky look at the widths of the two.A male Akita can weigh up to 120 lbs.
To NoraHaidar, tahigantreat, & others who posted similar comments .. 1) They were only playing so it's great to see them running around like that. 2) Do you know anything about akitas? Did you do research before making statments like that? They were bred to hunt elk, antelope, boars, & BEARS .. I doubt an Akita would be easy for either of those breeds to beat if he was trained properly.

Give STFB4LIFE a break. He didn't realize the female was in heat at the time and it was already too late by the time he heard them fighting and ran outside. My cousin had a pit bull and an Akita that got into a fight and it took them a long time to seperate the dogs even though they were using buckets of water. And I have a labrador and a mutt who were raised together and get along great but one day they suddenly got into a huge blood filled fight over a new dog house; nice video by the way.
don't ever ever think you can have a male akita with another male akita, and not have a fight. they will eventually fight, they always do, and are know for fighting to the death. No matter how friendly, they WILL eventually fight.
akitas r great, you also dont have to worry when you cross another dog while letting out.. akitas are brave, they bite off and wont get harmed in dog fights easlily... unless its a pitull maybe lol..
i had 2 akitas, and my male really looked just like the akita here....they used to play just like this for hours...inside, outside...only thing differenty was, my akitas tended to seriously rearrange the furniture when they played, knocking over tables, etc...but it was all part of the fun...thanks for posting...great video...

I love how Mr. Doberman kept bouncing over buddy there on the couch! Nice to see a Dobe with it's ears untouched. I have a huge Akita/Shepard (124lbs) We rescued her from bad owners and the chopping block and like the last Rotti/Shepard cross we rescued (r.i.p.) we do not regret the rescue one bit!!.

We had an Akita. They love dog friends they can rough house with. Makes them more balanced to live with. Ours played just like that, great to watch and hope they became fast friends.

that isnt a big male doberman it is medium size and not as bulky as mine hes Dennis and is very clever at play fighting my staffy and german shepherd/staffy cross cos he will always drop his head down so his throat cant get bit and will try to catch the others throats and usually does.

Could be a original Akita, since American Akita's are larger. Don't forget Dobermans are very large too, average shoulder height is about 70 cm

That is a big male Doberman the Akita looks like a Female, Anyways the Akita is much more stocky look at the widths of the two.A male Akita can weigh up to 120 lbs.

To NoraHaidar, tahigantreat, & others who posted similar comments .. 1) They were only playing so it's great to see them running around like that. 2) Do you know anything about akitas? Did you do research before making statments like that? They were bred to hunt elk, antelope, boars, & BEARS .. I doubt an Akita would be easy for either of those breeds to beat if he was trained properly.
I do own one & she's beautiful, intelligent, powerful, & extremely protective of my family.

Give STFB4LIFE a break. He didn't realize the female was in heat at the time and it was already too late by the time he heard them fighting and ran outside. My cousin had a pit bull and an Akita that got into a fight and it took them a long time to seperate the dogs even though they were using buckets of water. And I have a labrador and a mutt who were raised together and get along great but one day they suddenly got into a huge blood filled fight over a new dog house; nice video by the way.

don't ever ever think you can have a male akita with another male akita, and not have a fight. they will eventually fight, they always do, and are know for fighting to the death. No matter how friendly, they WILL eventually fight.

i had 2 akitas, and my male really looked just like the akita here....they used to play just like this for hours...inside, outside...only thing differenty was, my akitas tended to seriously rearrange the furniture when they played, knocking over tables, etc...but it was all part of the fun...thanks for posting...great video...
