  • What about that 2nd game against LSU? He has the potential & ability 2 be a gr8 quarterback. He is a soph now playing his 1st full season. I dont think you can judge what his game will improve to be the next 2 years. After all there is a reason Saban has him in and not Simms, unless your Saban and attend every practice i dont get how you can say he wont be big time? Keep on hating i think he has done a wonderful job leading the tide! Won the big one, had a 11-12 season with decent stats, not bad

  • After watching the LSU game, I came to the conclusion that he's not big time, nor will he ever be. He can't run, he's inaccurate, and not poised in the pocket. I believe Saban wants to play Sims so bad, and McCarron is on borrowed time in Tuscaloosa.

  • McCarron is a beast. He is going to be SOOO much better than McElroy. RTR.

  • McCarron isnt good at all. lol

  • @Dcustudios3 you stupid barner. i bet trotter is better, huh? hahahaha...

  • @Discokid715 im not an auburn fan?

  • @Dcustudios3 You dont know shit about AJ.

  • Milton's World Episode 25

  • Ken Dorsey is a scrub LOL. This is like a backhanded insult.

  • @vicodinx your right he only lost 2 games in his 3 year carrer one due to a horrible pass interference call in the championship game....i would give my left nut for another qb like dorsey to come to the U..one of the smartest qbs ever ...didnt do that well in the nfl but he will end up being an offensive cordinator somewhere for sure

  • @thesanchezoio lol @bitter Miami fan. Funny, most of my friends who like the U have come to accept that Dorsey just got lucky to be surrounded by one of the most talented CFB teams ever. And Craig Krenzel was way smarter than Dorsey. Dorsey wasn't even fit to hold Brady Quinn's clipboard and that's saying something.

  • @vicodinx Dorsey was a very good college QB. Luginbill wasn't talking about the NFL.

  • @BamaChris Jason White'd

  • He doesn't really throw like Dorsey at all.

I think most of these analyst just compare guys if they look the same lol

Dorsey and McCarron both have shaggy hair.

  • dorsey is a stud

  • He reminds me of a young Ken Stabler the way he plays

  • He's way too thin at this moment. Definitely needs to bulk up.

  • STUD

  • Bama haters shouldnt watch Bama videos and then try to comment about them and put them down and try act like Bama is not a good team.... They are a good team but they need to get better and press forward to win any kind of championship. Bama fans sometimes forget we havent won any kind of championship since Shaun Alexander was here. What was that 1999?... Lot of work to do.

  • :11...

    look at that death stare...

  • yeah he still played well in 08 considering you have no key weapons to pass to and you can't say he dosen't need them

cause most qb's have a go to guy and obviously if none of his recivers can catch than who is he meant to go to lol

  • Ken Dorsey huh? those are pretty big shoes to fill when it comes to playing college football. Ken Dorsey lost a total of 2 games in his Entire Career, one of the games was against washington who he beat 65 - 7 the 2nd time he played against em, and the other loss was against ohio state in the fiesta bowl and well, everybody has their own opinion on that game lol. good luck to the young man though...

  • if hes comparing him to ken dorsey im scared.. cuz ken dorsey is a washed up pro...that sucks. he had talent around him at miami...

  • why would a college program care about that? as long as you're a beast in college that's all a college football program cares about, and yes of course he had talent around him at miami but that doesnt mean he wasnt talented himself, there's plenty of examples that prove my point, just look at miami ever since ken dorsey left he's clearly the best quarterback miami's had this decade and it's not because nobody else had talent around them

  • If the "he had talent around him" means success, then Mccarron should be fantastic. With Julio, Kelly, Maze, Bowman...the offense should be unstoppable

  • only if you're prepared to equate Julio, Kelly, Maze, Bowman with Andre Johnson, Roscoe Parrish, Santana Moss, Kellen Winslow, Jeremy Shockey, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, Frank Gore and the rest of that Miami offense that actually was unstoppable lol. good luck to the kid though.

  • Ever heard of Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Eddie lacy, Kenny Bell, Kendall Kelly And all the players 'hawleywe' named as well!!?? so i think he'll be ok!!!

  • yes i've heard of all those guys, they're all good, Especially Trent from Escambia (where emmitt smith came from) i do believe this aj kid will be ok, but if i had to make a choice between bama of 09 and Miami of 01 i think i'd pick Miami of 01 no questions asked

  • Well you see that wouldve made sense if you wouldve said bama of maybe 2011 cuz our QB this year is Greg Mcelroy!!

He throw for 4600+ yrs his senior season alone, broke EVERY QB record in texas and was ranked higher then sam bradford (the hiesman winner) in their class!! Also out throw him Cult MCcoy and Jevan Snead in the manning camp!!

So i highly doubt with all the weapons we have and that type of QB, '01 Miami would be considered better.........

  • 2011 is too far in the future to know anything for certain about, anything can happen between now and then, but just so you know 01 Miami is almost consensus greatest college football team of all time, the only other teams in consideration are 03 usc and 95 nebraska, we're talking about a college football team that couldve beaten the lesser half of the nfl that year, a roster of 6 (ncaa record) future 1st rounders and pro bowlers on both sides of the ball

  • Are you serious!!? You forgot all about '92 Alabama, And this season hasnt started yet last year was a rebuilding year and look at what we accomplished!!

So givin our QBs we have and the one we have coming (Phillip sims the #1 QB in the nation) i think we will rival some of the greatest teams of all time..........And im a very realistic person and sticking by that statement!! We are also returning 9 starters from our #1 defense last year!!!

And the #1 recruting class dosent hurt either!!

  • 92 bama wasn't considered the greatest college football team of all time by anybody, 92 bama beat Miami because Miami was cocky and thought they won the game before they even played it, 01 Miami was much better than 92 Miami and 92 bama were underdogs going into that game against 92 Miami, 92 bama did not have 6 first rounders and what exactly did bama accomplish last year? they came home empty handed, better luck next year but you have a LOT to do before you call yourself Greatest of All Time

  • Umm you can go look that one up buddy cuz '92 alabama was rite after 95 nebraska for one of the best teams of all time!!

And i said it was a rebuilding season and we went the entire season undefeated the suger bowl was more or less pointless!! in which we also played without our best player.......

And what exactly do we have left to do but play!!??

  • i need you to find me a source that mentions 92 bama in the same breath as 95 nebraska because i cant find it, the only bama team i see mentioned in the top 10 greatest is 61 bama, being undefeated for a portion of the season is meaningless if you have nothing to show for it, no major bcs bowl game is pointless that's just stupid, even without bama's best player bama should not have gotten blown out by a mountain west team, and for starters bama needs a roster with 6 nfl first round draft picks.

  • First off its called google!! Secondly we were undefeated the entire regular season those losses were post-season!!

And do you not kno the meaning of rebuilding season it means the team had NO DEPTH and our back up got hurt the first drive!! In which they still didnt blow us out the score was 21-17 at one point but ppl just love to forget that lil fact!!

And last go look at our roster and recruits they make 6 first rounders look like peanuts......with alot more to come!!

  • And everyone knos that the only good thing that comes from bowl games now days are playin other conferences to see which is better!!

So how is playing a MWC team that most had never heard of, anything more then pointless!!??

Because auburn won a suger bowl and look at them and their coach now........

  • It is well recognized that the 1961 Alabama Crimson Tide football team was the best defensive team in college football history. Not only did the '61 Tide outscore opponents 297-25; they shut out six teams and never allowed more than 7 points in any game.

  • Wow dude don't take it that far. 92 Bama IMO had the best DEFENSE of all time but I don't think they were as good as the 1995 Nebreska Cornhuskers. Teams like the 2001 Miami Hurricanes were loaded with great players at every position. Ken Dorsey, Willis Mcgahee, Jonathon Vilma, Andre Johnson, and Ed Reed were all great players on a great team. But have no fear, Saban is building a talented team for the ages. RTR!!!

  • I didnt say '92 Bama was the greatest team ever but they are in the top 10!!

And i truly do belive we will have a team to rival some of the greatest of all time......Talk about louded Terrence Cody, Javier Arenes, Dont'a Hightower, Ralondo mclain, Dre Kirkpatrick, Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Trent Richerdson, Marqius Maze, DJ fluker and the list goes on........

And i do belive everyone of these players could go in the first round of the draft!!

  • Greg Mcelroy is great but we are losing a lot of starters on defense next year I don't think we will be quite as dominant as this year or last year.

  • Not really for example we more then likely will lose arenes, cody and maybe ralondo but other then that i cant think of any one else we will lose and ralondo said hes more then like likely coming back but even if he dosent just look at the talent we have to replace them all!!

  • most of the backups for the people we are losing are 5 star recruits

  • p.s. Nick Saban is better coach than Larry Coker (by 1.2 Billion miles lol) so you do have that going for you...

  • my highschool played his team and we won 41 to 7 and he completed 2 passes but thats bc his recievers kept dropping the ball and he had no o-line but this guy is talented

  • St.Pauls(his high school)

graduated like 29 seniors from there 2007 state championship team(his junior year)

    including 3 who chose Alabama

yea, the Saints were going to suck in 2008

  • no excuse fam. Miami Northwestern lost the bulk of their talent after their state championship in 07, and in 08 they Repeated and were "National Champs" that year, and the bulk of that team graduated and went to Miami and this year they went to State Again for a 3peat but lost to sanford seminole high school thanks to an amazing game winning catch by andre debose. next year isn't lookin 2 bad for Miami Northwestern either in spite of alot of talent graduating from this year's team.

  • Dude Miami NW has like 2,200 students

in alabama 6a is the largerest, 1a the smallest

most 6a school in alabama have around1,300

and St.Pauls is a 5a school something like 650 kids

the football team only has like 50 players

Also. ithought M.NW was on probation in 07

  • MNW is full of thugs.

We played them for 2 quarters a scrimmage game at a USF camp and beat them by 3 TD's.

  • lol who is we? when was this? and what football team takes scrimmages seriously i played football and we didnt even keep score in scrimmages, that's why they're called "scrimmages" especially ones with only 2 quarters anybody can beat anybody at halftime, do you think "we" would have beaten MNW by 3 TDs if it was a playoff game or even a regular season game with 4 quarters? i seriously doubt it and if we're so "full of thugs" then why does almost everybody go D1? bet we cant say that about "we".

  • "we" is a shitty little team of white boys from FL a few years ago. And no, we didn't take it seriously...but we didn't take the bunch of sloppy kids MNW called "athletes" seriously either. The entire 4 days of camp they acted like they were the shit, and when we finally had to play them, it was a joke. I still can't believe they go to state every year. They're all lazy and their coaches are psychotic. Ridiculous.

  • well then why does it matter...i mean if the school sux and he is still able to shine good for him...besides with the scene you have given i would think the didnt give a fuck because its a bunch of punk ass white boys from florida...

  • I don't think we understand each other. I'm a Bama fan.

  • ROLL DAMN TIDE! This guy is as good or better than what has been reported! I have seen this guy play!

  • alabama cried dont go to tennessee. just for a visit thats fine he needs to down there if he was man he would make his own plans in stead just going by satans says.

  • Huh? If this post is in any way a representation of your thought process your life must be an absolute nightmare.

  • Hey AJ, we are so glad to have you at Alabama, Roll Tide Roll!

  • Star Jackson may never see the field...

  • Looks alright but he had better put some weight on those bones.

  • apparently you haven't seen starr throw. Starr has the best arm at BAMA.

  • but not a lick of intelligence to go with it. durrhhh.....he can't learn the playbook star say

  • hmmm i gotta say i like him better than Starr.Starr rainbows too much and you cant do that in the big leagues.idk we'll see i think that we'll be in a hole without J.P.

  • Maybe he is a good quarterback, but one thing I did observe is that he throws like a fag with a broken wrist.

  • lol

  • This Kid is probably pretty good but to compare him to somebody who was 38-2 as a starter over a 4yr span....TRY AGAIN

  • aj is way overrated, i go to st pauls ive seen him play he is kinda terrible without his phonominal receivers and backs like destin hood, ivan matchett, mark barron, and lewis watson

  • wait wait wait... so he won't be good throwing to Earl Alexander, Julio Jones, and company?

  • wel hell have pretty good backs and receiver at bama

  • first of all, arm strength doesn't mean shit compared to heart, leadership, guts, and attitude, qualities that made ken dorsey the best college quarterback in the last 20 years

  • and who said aj McCarron doesn't have that?

  • ROLL TIDE
