If Billy Talent had long hair and scraggy beards or if they dressed in leather and death metal band t-shirts, those braindead metal fans would lap it up. Some parts of Billy Talent's songs actually sound kinda like Iron Maiden. And those metal fans were chanting for Rob Zombie, as if Rob Zombie's music was any less pop and simplistic than this. Dittoheads the whole lot of them.

I like how people don't understand that if Ian added more distortion to his guitar sound about 90% of his songs would metal. And if the singer lowered his voice a bit.
And if you think about it, most of his guitar playing is alot harder to learn than most of slayer's songs. Sorry but it's the truth, I learn Slayer songs alot easier, the only thins I have problems with in their songs is the guitar solos.

I took it Billy Talent playing as a plus. They played on the opposite stage of Slayer/Zombie.. everyone took a break to go and get food/beer/washroom, so I was able to get right up to the stage to see Rob Zombie! ..if it had been a band I wanted to see, i wouldn't have gotten up that close! So thanks Billy Talent :D
