Omg, this is what I have been looking for all the time, without knowing it. Now I can actually use my iPad 2 to do something USEFUL besides playing crappy games and pass time in lectures with Flipboard etc. I was very suprised of how little lag there was! and no need for a dedicated Spotify iPad App anymore. Thank you!

I'm sorry, but to tout all the features of whatever remote computer you happen to be connected to through a remote client as features of YOUR software is akin to plagiarism and false advertising.. YOU did none of these things... the REMOTE COMPUTER did! advertise that your software alows you to type and control a mouse maybe even push sound. (Thats a real feature!)

Hey I have a question. A reply would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on replacing my 2010 Macbook Pro 13" with the 2011 Mac Mini and an iPad. Would this app allow me to access my Mac Mini? Would it allow me to access it from different WiFi networks? i.e. if I leave the computer at home and I am at school? Thanks.

awesome app, i just got it for my galaxy S. my only problem is that i cant manage to use the internet discovery feature. it seems like i dont have the newest client version. but its the newest that the app market is giving out. how do i get 1.4.0.2?

Yes, i have this app on iPad 2 16GB WiFi only and it works very well. maybe even better than the video shows. only problem is when trying to click on small buttons using touch controls, it's not precise but you can always zoom in.

@noloboy we redirect the normal PC sound to the iPad without using the mic. The mic issue only comes into play on some systems with driver issues. It was happening on Mac before, but should be fixed now.

Hi, I'm interested on buying Splashtop for my iPad. However, my desktop PC does NOT have a microphone. Is it true that the sound that the Splashtop app uses is what it picks up from the computers microphone? So let's say, for example, if someone talks in front to the PC that Splashtop remotely access, I will hear him/her from the iPad while i'm remoting it?

@sct911 The latest version 1.4.0.1 that just came out today has an Experimental feature to connect across the Internet using your Gmail credentials. Try it out! If you still want to connect using port forwarding (more difficult, need IP address), you can find the instructions on our support forums (YouTube does not allow links, sorry)

This is a great application when using it on the same network. I wonder if it offers the same functionality from outside of the network. I wish there was some clear information on how to set it up from outside the network. Someone commented that you can use ipad vpn I googled it. No help. Please point me and others who will undoubtedly read this comment and wonder where to go for clear information. I need a link to a tutorial or step by step on how to do this. Thanks

I've been obsessed with tweaking my system for use with Splashtop. There is not much to setting it up for use on the local network, just install the desktop application and you're set. I have successfully been able to work out a WOL over WAN for using Splashtop (in order to save energy from having my home computer turned on all day).  This allows me to have full access to my home computer anytime and anywhere. This app is just awesome! Would love to see multi-task support if possible ...

This is the best alternative for cloudbrowsing on iOS. Enable 3g and wifi support(outside of your house). You'd be able to access your pc/mac from everywhere. That would make the iPad the best portable device.

@tedbone13 and @AniMoney Do not have to be on the same network. Several options for connecting from a different network - can use iPad's VPN, can do port forwarding, + we are about to come out with a simple solution to discover your PC and log in across the firewall.
