thats wassup one sub is all anyone needs.. ive seen that sub make windows n cars look like water .. 3k amp 1 battery 1 h.o. alternator it push the rear window out of a car .. keep it up pimpn
don't wanna start an argument about how much space the subs needs to breath correctly..but the box looks WAAAAY too small..i have i bigger box for two 12" type e's
thats sick what kinda amps u got on that ?and i like how most people who turn stereos up almost always seem to put it on 40 with higher quality head units and subs
preciate it man I just can't wait to ge them! Seems like everybody on youtube that has them love them and they video show they hittn hard as hell! Ready to make my glass and windows shake and knock a few pics off people walls
Whats up man love it beating hella hard! Got a question I ordered 2 btl 15's fully loaded- heat ring, cooilng, universal, dual 1ohm, daily ice blue dust caps. The custom shop thats building my box says they aren't going to do nothing thinks I wasted my money and thinks cause you only can get them on the net, and the have no sealed box specs that they aren't going to do nothing! What do you think? I'm going to be pushing mine with the lanzar 2000d Opti-Drive amp! capable of 4k rms@1/2 ohm
bro most shops dont know half of what u know then bro most of da time their tryin to sell their shit to u say they said it aint gonna do shit , but wait till u install it in ur ride their ears are gonna get fucked ,
What would be funny is.. .Bump bump bump bump BOOM as the punp suddenly explodes from the bass... Lol. I understand it could not happen, Just would be funny shit. Saying noone got hurt.
Fi BTL can take up to 2500 rms and these things are fucken sick! one of the hardest pounding subs you'll get just take a look at steve meade :)! and yea you can put 3k rms but it will stress the subs and they will end up blowing in like 6 months
another thing you would want to consider IF you are in the market to purchase one of these is. It does not come with a warranty, only covers if the sub is operating at the time of arrival..
i wouldn't want to peak any sub to be honest..it's just not safe, BUT i really don't care about walmart subs, that's really the only point i was trying to make there, and with heating issue..i know btl's can handle a LOT more than 2000 rms without any issues..i was just saying to someone that asked about heating issues that if you run an spl btl as a daily sub you might run in to some heating issues
when you purchase the sub off the site you can set it so they give you a daily driver sub so it wont overheat or an SPL (sound pressure level) sub so that when you need to showoff, you got back up. then there is some cooling shit you can get too. idk
well you can get two different kinds of Fi BTLS, one for daily use and one for SPL..i'd imagine if you were trying to use a SPL sub on a daily basis that you might run in to some heating issues
why would you wanna peak a 500 dollar sub? lol these aren't walmart brand subs, i know this sub can take more than 2000 rms but i wouldn't give it much more than that just to be safe
maybe in the states, in canada with tax and the exchange rate you're looking at about $481.76 without shipping, and shipping is around 50 bucks for that sub so you're looking at about $531.76..and no sub can safely handle it's peak rating, the sony explodez are rated to 1500 watt peak..but it wouldn't take any more than 500 rms before it blew, if that..i know btl's can safely run around 3000-3500 rms but i wouldn't feed it any more then 3000 rms personally..i like to play things safe lol :P
@greeleykid cant compare the two brands for car audio subs. not saying sony is shit..but there are plenty of brands out there that are rated lower than what they can truly handle. fi 18" subs in the right box with a nice electrical can cleanly handle 5000 rms all day everyday any frequency any volume. promise
@jonmanch3st3r fuck i shouldve gotten these fuckin subs! i paid 550 for each of my 15 inch memphis mojo subs and they dont hit anywhere near this much!
what amps are u running to them???
at the time i didnt know bout this brand or else i wouldve gotten them in a heart beat!
I bought two Cascade designs omega's for 460 shipped used(for both) but very little use(18's) they take 3kw each daily without problems. At any hertz I throw at them, from subsonic to where my mids take over. I have been told they will take 5kw each for a short amount of time but don't have the balls or the ears to want to try it, haha.
Technically it hits harder firing forward and makes it sound less "muddy". Somewhat more of a "sealed" enclosure sound than a ported one when its facing forward.. I would assume he is going to eventually seal off the trunk.
okay, when its a wall, it would sound better, like you said "sealed off".
he has it in a box... in a box...when a sub faces toward you..it doesnt sound as good as when it faces the trunk..which is why i said turn it around..so technically, your wrong.
@pearldrummer20 Actually no I am not wrong. As the air reverberates around the top of the box (it looks like it takes up the entire width of the trunk)its going to be moving slower than when the sub moves sound waves back at the driver giving it a slight muddy sound to it making it sound not as sharp. If you face it forward you get the air movement right away and as the sub moves backwards producing more sound waves sending it to the trunk, it will be dampened by trunk / box = no muddy sound
@jtool4 okay, man im sorry but it doesnt sound better unless its on a wall! ive been around car audio for years now, ive built walls, ive placed subs facing forward, backward, sideways, everyway!
if a sub is facing you on a WALL(a board placed in a car that is air tight) it sounds better. if its in a box (like this guys) it doesnt sound better at all. stick your head behind subs that face a trunk and see how it sounds..then go sit shotgun and notice how much louder it is.
hell yea bro thats bad ass... i have 02 extreme that looks like ur blazer from the front with some hard ass beats in it to.....u will have to check out my videos.. i have some of the system commin soon
try to face them to the bak...and get a smaller box dude..and this is wat happens when they r bridged..u cnt really hear it good from far away..jus let the volume travel and it will be so much better
No.There Would be an increase in SPL. A speaker emits sound waves in all directions. You have waves coming from the woofer directly to your ear, and waves from the woofer to the back of the vehicle that are then reflected back to your ear. The longer it takes for the second set of waves to reach your ear, the more cancellation theres going to be. Since bass waves are long (much longer than the cabin of the car) The slight distance wouldnt be extremely noticeable but you Would gain a couple dBs
We've prove all this using a Term Lab meter. Test vehicles were a 96 Honda Civic hatchback, 94 Acura Integra, 98 GMC Jimmy (exact same truck as this blazer), a 95 Silverado extended cab, And a 96 Caprice. The Jimmy had the most noticeable gain with a 2.7dB increase. The Silverado had the least with a 0.7 dB increase.
yea for sure brother but i talked to this guy awhile back i told him at least to point it up it would increase spl but he said it didnt make a difference for some reason i dont know why. in most cases it increases it but i dont think its by much.
Yea, It depends quite a bit on the car and how far away from the back of the car the subs are. next time we get some time, we're gonna do some more tests. try it on some bigger cars. like a Subruban or an Escalade if we can find some to use. lol
in a lincoln navigator..im thinkin of taking up my whole trunk space on this box im gonna have made...40"L x 30"W x 18"H ....and a 10"x18" port...thats tuned to 35hz...
ok thanks..where should i place the sub and port? should i place the sub on top and port facing the back? or both facing up? is there even a difference which way the sub faces?
wtf i was talking about was eventually its gotta conflict with the engine's movements, and somehow hurting it. just because the engine moves more than the 18", doesnt mean that theyre moving at the same time, and that is what i meant, you insignificant dumbass.
well i have to disagree with the insignificant dumbass, and engine is made to take tons of stress, a fi btl 18 is gonna cause close to no efffect/conflit on and engine besides the possible rattle loose of some of the plastic parts on an engine and shake the body apart..
if youre going to try to "school" me, then at least talk in complete sentences that people can understand, cause i have no idea what you meant by "besides the possible rattle loose of some of the plastic parts on an engine and shake the body apart.." maybe you need some english classes, or you failed them, but if you cant say anything so that i can understand it than im not going to take you seriously.
You dont need a PHD in english to undertand what hes saying. And Iv been around cars and subs all my life and never had any problem with stress on the engine. So stop talkin out ur ass.
How am I talkin out my ass? If you want me to be all sophisticated and capitalize all my words just so you think I'm not talkin out my ass, then you must be such a stuck up ass hole that i would never want to talk to you anyways. And it's good that you have the experience, because in the very beginning I was only making a statement that in my opinion a big subwoofer that produces a lot of SPL and vibration must do some bad to the engine, no matter how small.
usually when an engine is running and going of bumps it gets the same type of vibration but any vibration can inherently ruin the seals in the cylinders
I said 10's not an 18" lol. I was replying to leonard109 cuz he said these were shit but his speakers weren't even good. Anyways, Fi is a sick brand. You can just order from their site.
glad to know you have 20 grand just laying around. and plus you prob dont know what your talking about because your talking about mixing subs go home fag
i surely do have 20 grand laying around since i can get 4 18 fi btl for 1700 plus shipping and 2 15 for 200 a piece but then again when steve meade uses fi btl and punches nobody complains about mixing subs
agreed that would blow the door out unless u back it up to behind his seat those r sooo fucking hardcore.... i want 1 for my saturn lmao... i like me 2 reSE 12" enough though
2 RE SE 12 inch in a prefab box dual vented 150$ ish for it... 4 memphis PR 6.5" components and 2 crunch 1100.2 amps running the RE's.... all running off of the stock battery... no capacitor and a sony xplod headunit..... nothing unreal but its the loudest ive ever heard around my area upstate newyork..
what does that do for it? I have 2 memphis m3 12s and memphis pr1000.1d at 1 ohm in a 2000 altima and I have the box facing the front of the car. Will it make a difference if I turn my box in my car around? Ive thought about it but id have to do some adjusting so my subs wont hit my trunk but if it makes a big difference let me know. Thanks homie
oh hell yah it does. if u face the port to the rear of ur car u got sound bouncing from the rear of the car to the front of the car so its basically forcing the sound out even harder than it is wen its facing foward. if u try it ull see a big difference in sound
haha looks like ralphy didnt do his homework......to many people are like omg kickers their so awesome....but.....if you get more into it you relize their are ALOT better stuff out there..kickers are starter systems
Yea they are pretty much either a. doing it cuz its a pretty good starter system or b. they just wanna be like yeah i got some kick L7s in the back and people go woooooa kicker? aka buying for the brand name
i was ther thinking kicker was the shit my first setup then i got the w7 not loud enugh so i go with 12" mmats dread 1600wrms fckn nut's but now im ordering an 18btl look at my vid in bout a month n half to c the btl
i hope some black people come and jack your car.

i cant believe bass like this does absolutely nothing to your engine! i mean when you think about it, it's gotta do some sort of internal damage.
djhlsmusic 2 years ago
the engine rattles prolly a thousand times more then what that 18 will do.. wtf are u talking about?
dougie730 2 years ago
wtf i was talking about was eventually its gotta conflict with the engine's movements, and somehow hurting it. just because the engine moves more than the 18", doesnt mean that theyre moving at the same time, and that is what i meant, you insignificant dumbass.
djhlsmusic 2 years ago
well i have to disagree with the insignificant dumbass, and engine is made to take tons of stress, a fi btl 18 is gonna cause close to no efffect/conflit on and engine besides the possible rattle loose of some of the plastic parts on an engine and shake the body apart..
dougie730 2 years ago
if youre going to try to "school" me, then at least talk in complete sentences that people can understand, cause i have no idea what you meant by "besides the possible rattle loose of some of the plastic parts on an engine and shake the body apart.." maybe you need some english classes, or you failed them, but if you cant say anything so that i can understand it than im not going to take you seriously.
djhlsmusic 2 years ago
You dont need a PHD in english to undertand what hes saying. And Iv been around cars and subs all my life and never had any problem with stress on the engine. So stop talkin out ur ass.
geterdun351 2 years ago
How am I talkin out my ass? If you want me to be all sophisticated and capitalize all my words just so you think I'm not talkin out my ass, then you must be such a stuck up ass hole that i would never want to talk to you anyways. And it's good that you have the experience, because in the very beginning I was only making a statement that in my opinion a big subwoofer that produces a lot of SPL and vibration must do some bad to the engine, no matter how small.
djhlsmusic 2 years ago
usually when an engine is running and going of bumps it gets the same type of vibration but any vibration can inherently ruin the seals in the cylinders
youcrazy91 2 years ago
that's exactly what i meant, but that guy down there is so stupid that he can't even speak in full sentences, so no wonder he didn't understand that.

what deck u got?

DCP14TNUM 2 years ago
r u 4real? haha tell me when u find these subs at wal-mart u retard. u have to special order them. they are really good subs.
countrysk8er14 2 years ago
I said 10's not an 18" lol. I was replying to leonard109 cuz he said these were shit but his speakers weren't even good. Anyways, Fi is a sick brand. You can just order from their site.
calvinblinkee 2 years ago
glad to know you have 20 grand just laying around. and plus you prob dont know what your talking about because your talking about mixing subs go home fag
playap3211991 2 years ago
i surely do have 20 grand laying around since i can get 4 18 fi btl for 1700 plus shipping and 2 15 for 200 a piece but then again when steve meade uses fi btl and punches nobody complains about mixing subs
leonard109 2 years ago
plus batteries alts amps wiring. and steve meade uses punches with his 4 18's? on his caddy those are free air subs more like loudspeakers.
playap3211991 2 years ago
he uses the punch subwoofers to fill in the lower midrange section/higher lowend. completely different than mixing subwoofers
Krannyman92 2 years ago
put the sub facing backwards or up or up and it will smash way harder then it does now. i promise.
Bamchucknorris 2 years ago
He probably has it like that so his back door won't fall off !!
lol
chevyman217 2 years ago
agreed that would blow the door out unless u back it up to behind his seat those r sooo fucking hardcore.... i want 1 for my saturn lmao... i like me 2 reSE 12" enough though
miasman077 2 years ago
I know right, those subs are so hard core!
I'm thinking of getting a 18 inch Fi BTL for my Chevy Tahoe and a 7+ cubic ft. ported box probably with a t4000.1bd.
Right now i have a 15 inch kicker cvr and that's pretty loud.
Do you have a system??
chevyman217 2 years ago
2 RE SE 12 inch in a prefab box dual vented 150$ ish for it... 4 memphis PR 6.5" components and 2 crunch 1100.2 amps running the RE's.... all running off of the stock battery... no capacitor and a sony xplod headunit..... nothing unreal but its the loudest ive ever heard around my area upstate newyork..

what song is this?
jays4m3 2 years ago
what are the specs on your box?
jays4m3 2 years ago
flip that box around so that its facing the rear then ull be suprised trust me
larrythestoner415 2 years ago
what does that do for it? I have 2 memphis m3 12s and memphis pr1000.1d at 1 ohm in a 2000 altima and I have the box facing the front of the car. Will it make a difference if I turn my box in my car around? Ive thought about it but id have to do some adjusting so my subs wont hit my trunk but if it makes a big difference let me know. Thanks homie
seanturpin01 2 years ago
oh hell yah it does. if u face the port to the rear of ur car u got sound bouncing from the rear of the car to the front of the car so its basically forcing the sound out even harder than it is wen its facing foward. if u try it ull see a big difference in sound
larrythestoner415 2 years ago 2
ya i did that with my 3 12's sealed, i took a guys advice from Michigan and it pounds alot harder
NH4NO3CH3NO2 2 years ago
If you want to really bump only use Fi BTL and Mojos i have 6 mojos in my car and that thing literally hops of the ground
leonard109 2 years ago
hell yeah this song rattles eye balls
