great recipe gona make it tmrw for my boyfriend.bt i ate this dish at a swedish frns house and he added preserved berries and mash potato...said tht was traditional...
Nice vid, the past week I've been watching ample amounts of vids of Swedes to get a better understanding of their culture. Been thinking about relocation but I am worried about culture shock. That is prob inevitable though since I have only been to one other country. I am a food geek so I need diversity but from what I gather your country food markets seem diverse enough.
@Grady01 well I would say in Sweden you could get just about any food you'd like. The Swedish food culture though is not too diverse. It's hard to grow fresh vegetables and fruits that are not root vegetables. I miss the fresh stuff from when I used to live in California!! But please, come to Swedish it is a lovely place with good food
not bad at all! however you seem to lack that classic swedish flare, you are much too proper to be a true swedish chef (at least for the 70's) but you're young and dynamic so i suppose not tossing kitchen utensils around is only proper. you should incorporate a booma shoot'n like here...
watch?v=mbs64GvGgPU
for more flare or you could serve your meat balls like you would a birdie, like so... watch?v=sY_Yf4zz-yo
have you ever thought of incorporating music into your videos...
@RedLetterChristian Haha, I watched those videos before, and I do agree with you that I am much too proper and neat compared to that guy. But I can't do that. And I'm not supposed to. I do my thing, and he does his thing. I think it is best that way.
So for my Chinese class we're bringing in Chinese food + our own Cultural foods for a little end-of-the-year party. I think I might make this because it's really simple and something different. Sodexo, my school's lunch provider, tries to make "swedish meatballs." They're...ok. But I'm sure these here are sa mycket battre! :D Tack for the video. (Yes, I speak Swenglish :))
@JoshskaGeorgeski YES please try making the Swedish meatballs. And when you do, please tell me how it went. I think the recipe is pretty simple and easy to follow. Best of luck.
@kevinwongstiffy Never tried that before! But you say that tastes good? Ok, Norweigan meatballs there is next time I'll be cooking meatballs! (I made Greek meatballs the other day. Mmm! Thick tomato sauce and pasta...topped with parmesan)
@linnlar why u say that, my swedish meatballs came out way better and I used Mushroom Gravy and Cream of Mushroom! besides, I like women with long hair..
@linnlar yes its a compliment, it makes you look like you arent scared of new styles. By the way do u know a football team in Sweden called IF Elfsborg, in Boras? I had a trial there but they didnt sign me :( They signed my friend James Keene instead. now he's marrierd to a girl like you and is living a dream... i am jealous. We're from Portsmouth in england please come here some day, the Spinnaker Tower is awesome!
@emett80 ohh Elfsborg. Well I used to be a football girl (or soccer as we call it!) before I decided cooking is more fun. I'm too skinny to be taken serious in either of those things anyway. But I think I'm a better cook than soccer player.
@jjaakkzz I think mom's Swedish meatballs (which are the meatballs I'm making in the episode) works perfectly! Then there are a lot of other ways to make them to, of course. Which works fine also.
asså det ska vara lök och kött bullar man geggar ihop i en bytta sen tar man och kryddar rullar dem och sen steka dom men dom ska vara större än domdära !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@baudrum For your information, you can serve them with anything you like. I have used egg noodles & some sort of pasta another time. I made the Cardamom ones for Christmas & they were really liked by all here in the US state of Texas. I got the recipe off of an internet recipe site, the food network site.

@Liemann well det finns grekiska köttbullar också. de är större och de är kokta. de saknar den där fina ytan som våra svenska köttbullar har. så!
