Nobody can "buy" the kind of fame Lhuillier has achieved. Your daddy can buy your way into a first collection, but unless you are a great designer you crash and burn in NYC. Lhuillier has a beautiful eye for simplicity and glamor, and she really knows what looks good on a woman.

This one is a farce, repeatedly ripping off some of the great designers of the world. And I too have known about the horrible quality issues that still exist there. This isn't a brand, this is a name made famous on the backs of the poor!
I won't comment on the sweatshop conditions that exist in L.A.
Monique Lhuillier has some of the LOWEST production standards in the industry! Her designs are just watered-down versions of other more accomplished European designers. Her typical clients are superficial name-droppers who know nothing about good design or QUALITY. Her OVERPRICED trendy pop rags are just perfect for the IGNORANT mainstream U.S. fashion market!

I used to work for a Bridal salon and we sold tons of her gowns. Unfortunately, we had to send many of them back due to poor construction or mistakes...sometimes more than once. What a headache!
