  • He doesnt really now how to play the piano he just faked it. but its fucking good

  • Reincarnated Mozart, even the genious like Mozart has to face the end of life, the heartbroken clip.

  • what the fucking heeeellll!!!!! my ears exploded

  • STUPID STUPID ENDING.. STUPID

  • @thechefmo that eneding was amazing.... you're a fucking troll... it's a sad ending to an amazing story

  • @DruTerbrack24 Chill out bud.. I still love the movie. It's just my inner-American coming out of me, I wanted him to become a famous musician and go live happily ever after with the beautiful French girl he was so infatuated with. These european filmmakers tend to end their films on such depressing notes..

  • @thechefmo i knows sorry :P:D

  • Well, I can't believe you didn't see now who but «what» plays the last note... Of course it's neither the right or left hand... It's really to easy to explain, so i won't. LISTEN

  • This song is called Reincarnated Mozart. Btw, really good film, made me cry!

  • to jest smutne

  • Awesome movie. Hate the ending. :(

  • whats this song called

  • even if he refused to leave, they still shouldn't kill him in it

  • I still don't know why he had to die... talking about endless city stuff, how about work for a hotel play piano. It's not like piano will ever have endless keys...

  • i got so frustrated when he wouldn’t leave, but you know sometimes it’s not about happy endings. This story was amazing.

  • @realnegativezero i agree, i was like noooooo get off the boat you fool!

then i realised the film couldnt end any other way... him meeting up with the girl wouldnt have had the same impact.... the whole movie is about him living on a boat, if he had just upped and changed it.... wouldnt have made sense....

i do love his clean pristine opera suit, and how the boat groans just before it blows up.... its the little details that make these tear jerkers spectacular

  • One of the best film ever made in the film history ...

Tim Roth is incredible in this movie!

  • best movie end... i saw it in greece 14 years ago i think...

i was with my classmates in the cinema...

its was the most amazing moment of hall my life... amazing movie...

  • Whhhhyyyyy! :'(.

  • fuck the regulations!

  • The speech beforehand brought me to tears, but this scene always impacted me to the point of sobbing, and I wondered what it was, and then I realized that the last song he ever plays, is the first song he ever played...

  • why in the earth he had to die??????? it's so sad man , I cry every time......

  • I think that the boat was the Olympic one of the Titanic's two sistership. She has been shot by the germans but I'm not sure.

  • @frforever40 Brittanic was sunk Olympic was scrapped

  • I feel so sad ... so lonely.... when this scene comes out..

  • It is a tragic but beautiful ending. A stupid Hollywood ending would have had him find the woman of his dreams who inspires him to leave the ship. It would have been very stupid. I like how he stays with the ship to the bitter end and when the bombs come down he is all smiles.

  • @greg71579 I love the poetry of this film, and using his life on the ship as a metaphor. There is no way he was meant to get off, as he says himself in the speech beforehand. Love it

  • *SOB*

  • a beautiful movie...

  • I've never seen this movies equal. Titanic might have been close, but the music and the acting make this my favorite cinema masterpiece. Reflects alot from my own life.

  • sad...

if this is a ture story

  • why'd the boat explode?

  • @werkoutplan they blew it up because it wasnt being used anymore you have to watch the movie to understand it

  • So calm before his anticipated death, this is what pure love can do. Perhaps, it's a blessing for him to die in the bosom of his beloved ship!

  • fine troppo triste!

  • Any idea what song he plays? :)

    It's beautiful. ♥

  • the piece he's playing called "A mozart reincarnated."

  • 這段劇情,是全片最重要的寓意,也是最感人的一段...

  • Sad ending (the key to a GREAT movie) to an awesome, touching, movie.

  • .....the movie looks really good i dmit id love to see this but the ending........i dont get it....i mean i understand he wanted to stay on the ship but how the director/writer/producer or whoever ended it.....that as terrible it was like he ran out of idea and said "oh we shud just have the ship blow up..yup thats what we'll do"!!!

  • The film is based on Baricco's book "Novecento"... this movie reflects the plot of the book in its entirety.

  • I dont get it

This melody sounds a half tone above I saw in the score ( f -dur )

    here - almoust H -dur

  • @mozart1986mozart

This piece is in Bb, according to the book with the piano scores by morricone

  • IT is, the audio is wrong.

  • you shouldn't have uploaded this, you may spoil the movie to a lot of people

  • @Aensgard ...thank god i read this comment before actually starting the video :)

  • Well, the title of the video clearly explains it's about the end of the movie :-P

  • @futureconqueror i guess but.. maybe it was like a music video or something :3 ... you never know

  • im extremely happy i woke up really early one morning and watched this. I was really moved.

  • totally didnt expect this ending. brilliant!

  • I cry every time....

  • 0:39-0:40 was a mistake no? his right hand I mean..

  • @YouVRay

No, it just seems that he's hitting a a key upper than the previous because it was filmed a little bit from under. But it was the fourth finger that came after the fifth. So no mistake:)

  • I'm not quite understanding what you mean by this.. I know the fifth finger (pinky) wasn't a mistake but what about the index finger? right around 0:40 when the note goes up but his fingers still descended? The fingering is quite unusual there :o

  • @YouVRay

Oh, yeah, sorry, i was concentrating on 0:39, but what you say is correct... it shouldn't be the index finger at 0:40:)

  • @YouVRay

He did not play the note with the left. ;o)

  • wow, that too D: I didn't notice that haha.

  • yeah! actually his both fingers moved! WTF! :D

  • @YouVRay yes ! mistake

  • I'm not an emotional guy but this movie moved me in unexpected ways.

  • whats this song called?

  • The ending is too sad. :(

  • this is the scene...I clealy remember.

I know why 1900 did not wanna go out of the ship...

  • the fuck? why did the ship blow up?

  • ANONX WATCH THE MOVIE as the ship grew older and finally out of service he felt he should go with the ship that has taken care of him for long. He was born on the ship and never set foot on land.

  • ROFL... i havent seen the movie yet but i cant wait... i had that same reaction... thnx groucho for the spoiler... lol this came out in 1998 i cant believe i didnt see it yet WTF tho

  • cause they blew it up ....

  • poor boy~Sad ending

  • There are so many talented people who do the same thing. They hide it behind marriage and children, jobs, opinions of relatives and friends. Instead of sharing their gifts with the world, they fear not being able to cope with new friends, new expectations on them.

  • Those people are the best people, Mangapulse.

  • @Mangapulse Such a truer statement has never been posted Thank You for saying what I so Adamantly Believed my whole Life. There are those who are courageous, but as you stated some "hide" for fear. I shudder to think of how many we have lost under that guise.

  • Sad movie really but i like it ^^

  • its a sad movie the only movie i ever cried to : ) and i loved every second of it

  • I can't stop crying every time I watch that scene... Whole film is increadibly beautiful, probably one of the best films...

  • @LechEwa

I totally agree....One of my all time favorites....

  • this brought me to tears, it's so sad how he's not even playing the real piano when he died.

  • Does anyone know the name of this song?

I always seem to love the songs that I can't find on the soundtrack listing. :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • ''The mozart reincarnated''

  • If he was my friend I'd have dragged him out bleeding, for art's sake if not mine.

  • I love the metaphor of the piano having 88 keys and being endless for him....they live different lives and he just can't exist in the real one

  • sad story but i think he was ultimately happy in his small world

  • ç_ç

  • UNBEARABLY sad. I just got done watching the whole film and I can't see for the tears in my eyes. :(

  • What happens when a great director, meets a good actor and an legendary composer...a masterpiece!

  • i've seen the movie like 4 times... this is one my favorite films...

but in these 4 times i always tought this...

    imagine 1900 last thoughts:

"hey, you know, i was thinking about going out th..."BOOOOOOOM... xD

  • xD lol you must be an idiot...:D (just pozitive)

  • lol haha or:

"where is the guy who was supposed to tell me the way out?, he said he was coming...(looking up) oh crap"

  • I can't imagine that is how they would really destroy the ship....

  • for the most part yea, but not such a big explosion, they mostly do it that way so it creates habitats underwater

  • TOT i cry... for godsake~!!! why is all the movies that relates to piano has very sad endings?

  • yea really

ive only seen this a billion times and i only cry harder everytime

  • This is my favorite movie; i relate so much to the main character.

Tornatore, Baricco, Morricone...their names are great enough to make any other kind of comment..

  • i think i really think this movie is much better than The Pianist but the thing in The pianist is pretty sad

  • This makes me cry. I fell so much in love with that character. It's so sad to see him die. :(

  • great movie, thanks for uploading... but uhmmm hehehehe this wasn't directed by Bertoluci.... its a Giuseppe Tornatore and Alessandro Baricco's film ^^

  • WHEN I WATCH THIS MOVIE

    I CRY

  • the music is beautiful

i cry whenever i hear it

  • Me too

  • haha xD (nice video)

  • well cause he was born there and never ventured off that ship so he never leaves it even when they set dynamite to the old ship he decides to stay

  • this is so sad....... I love this movie !!

  • the...the ship...the ship explodes with the pianist inside?!!?

  • yes! did you saw the film!? is great!

  • yeah i saw it a couple of months ago

  • my god...
