  • there are many bluegrass groups that make songs like this... that doesn't mean they are crappy... this is more country than bluegrass but it is still in the bluegrass catagory. this group is known for pushing the envelope of bluegrass music as they often record with country legends and play country songs and thats what this is its an amazing song that only a person with a voice like his could sing. it has a great story to it as well. ..

  • The Grascals only push the envelope of bluegrass right up Nashville's ass.

  • and they like it! hahaha

  • this son g is asom i met them and huged him

  • you dont have to like bluegrass to enjoy this song. it is amazing.

  • In fact, liking bluegrass seems to hinder my ability to like it.

  • Amen to that. You could not meet a nicer group of guys either.

  • soo cute lol love it haha!!!

  • I found this site from an advertisement on the Big Lick Festival Park, in Big Lick North Carolina where the Grascals will be playing on June 9th 2007. I had never heard them before. I love the video and the song. The lyrics and the video are a masterpiece combination.

  • BLUEGRASS RULES

  • Jamie Johnsons fathers name is Paul.Dolly treated the band like they were part of her family.Shes an awesome lady.Jamie is also part of my (real) family, and we are all very proud of their accomplishments.

  • Here's something to think about:

Which one is "me", which is John, and hich is Paul?

  • Paul is the blond one (I played him in the high school scene, so I know). John is the red head, and "me" is the dark haired one.

  • paul is the blonde shaggy hair dude johnny is the dude in the red sweat shirt and "ME" is the lead singer :)....actually i hav no clue i just listened 2 da words :)

  • i love thiss song!! this is like my fav song!

  • Amen!

  • Dolly Shmolly, A song like this doesn't need big time a star to get it off of the ground. It stands on it's own. The musicians stand on their own too. If you don't cry at this song, you don't have a heart in your chest. It's number one in my book.

  • omg i been looking for this song for years

  • I remember hearing this song for the first time. I was in the front row at a bluegrass festival and they sang it and I cried like a baby. A couple months later I had a couple minutes to spare before I got on the school bus that morning and turned it on GAC. Not only did I cry like a baby then too, but I was a half a second away from missing the bus that morning! Between their harmony and the lyrics to this song..shew, it's a masterpiece. I absolutly love it. Thanks for putting it up!

  • ya it must be cool to say, "ya, dolly has our cd" or "ya, dolly wanted us to open for her"...can you imagine having dolly's vote of confidence. what a cool thing...she is so respected in country music and bluegrass circles.

  • Thank you, this was great

  • My feeling is that if dolly hadn't taken them under her wing, it would have taken them longer to hit the big time. They must be grateful for the superior guidance and support Dolly was able to provide them with. I know that if I was a semi famous singer, I would chew off my left arm for the opportunity to be advised by the biggest legend the entertainment industry has ever seen!!!!!

  • This is a fantastic song. They were great when they opened for Dolly.
