We Evolved To Be This Way Though. Those That Killed, Took Advantage Of And Out Competed Other Humans As Well As Those That Capitalized On And Exploited The Environment Had A Selective Advantage. So We Descended From Them.
Maori Killed Off The MOA BIRD, Aborigines And Papua New Guineans Killed Off The TASMANIAN TIGER, And Europeans Killed Off TASMANIANS (The Aboriginal People Of Tasmania).

A SELECTIVE ADVANTAGE Meaning That People That Possessed The Personality Traits That Led To This Type Of Behavior Had A Survival And Sexual Advantage Over People That Didn't Possess These Traits. Natural And Sexual Selection Favored These Type Of People So Their Genes Survived Better Generation After Generation (They Survived Better And Had More Sex With More Partners).
