  • Too bad my Frequent Flyer Miles don't also cover Cancer Screenings, with all this radiation exposure every time I want to travel, I'll need frequent flyer cancer screenings to check for malignant lumps or unusual lymph activity.

I wonder if the Federal Govt will admit responsibility for all the premature deaths being caused by X-ray over-exposure?

They say it's about the same radiation exposure as a typical mammography or dental X-ray, somehow I'm still not at ease with anything the TSA claims.

  • dohhh The TSA scanners dont use Terahertz! Even the article on the screen mentions mm wave its 1000 times lower than terahertz (10 power 12 Hertz). The terahertz scanners are only in the lab and 5 to 10 years away. An automatic shop door opener uses the same frequency as these scanners and similar powers. So if your worried dont go to the mall! Plus the frequency of light dictates the resolution so images with mm wave only have mm resolution so you cant see pores!

  • google censorship to see click on view all coments

  • Omg.....world-wide cancer on a massive scale as result of these full body scanners? Can't even imagine the magnitude of this.

  • I don't really mind these full body scanners. If the country's enemies are willing to go to extreme lengths to attack us then the government has to go to extreme lengths in order to protect us. I don't about anyone else but I don't mind getting scanned. Besides everything gives you cancer nowadays. Breathing can gives you cancer for god's sakes. One more isn't going to make a difference to me.

  • @TheArachnoid you sir, are a sheep.

  • @pokervidworld BAAAAAIt's my opinion not yours BAAAAAA. Besides either your a sheep whether or not you mind the scanners or you don't mind the scanners BAAAAA. *noms on grass*

  • @TheArachnoid gov isnt protectingn us unfortunately :(

  • @thunderinthevalley At least they're trying right? Right?

  • Nov. 24th is National Opt Out Day, spread the word!!!

  • May Increase Risk? They DO increase risk.

November 24, 2010 - national opt-out day for body scanners

  • Keep 'em coming bro....keep 'em coming!!!

THANKS....awesome job, people need to know....they need to WAKE UP some more and stop allowing themselves to be distracted by all the 'noise' around and about, the dumb tv shows and, and, and....

  • My understanding fron Natural News is that you may "opt" out and be patted down. That's what I will do. Unfortunately, few people opt out. Thanks for posting this valuable video.

  • Ionizing radiation is bad for living things. Yes, we live with some background radiation some areas many times greater due to local isotopes or man made releases. This box is a medical procedure, a prescription for cancer 10 years down the road. Check out our radiation blocking garments at RockyFlatsGear[.]com and our utube channel. Keeps your privates private!

  • I'm going to Gatwick Airport this coming monday and I don't know how to say "no" when they ask me to walk into that body scanner box. How should I phrase my resistance to this? Say no I know the health risks regarding this, they can hand check me and all that? Please respond, I don't want bloody cancer.

  • Yeah and that is perfect desinfo

Full Body Scanners are not x-rays they don't work with radiation

They are magnetic scanners which do absolutly nothing to your body

The only way they "increase" the cancer rate (and this is where the myth is coming from) is because they find EVERYTHING in your body even things which would never give you any problems

  • @RazielKain - Thats not true. Perhaps you should visit the World Health Organisation website and read up on EMF (electromagnetic frequency) effects on the human body. EMF causes cell damage, increases blood pressure and cause blackouts. Just some of the many symptoms mentioned.

  • @NWOConspiracyGroup Dude you mixing up the frequencies. The type used in MRI/MRA are not the same as x-rays. Next time read the hole article not just the headline.

  • @RazielKain

You don't know what your talking about.

"The two main types of scanners are "millimeter wave" and "backscatter" machines. Millimeter wave units send radio waves over a person and produce a three-dimensional image by measuring the energy reflected back. Backscatter machines use low-level X-rays to create a two-dimensional image of the body."

  • @biped19 You don't know what you are talking about oO

As you quoted "low-level X-rays" do not have the energy to ionize particles -.-

  • @RazielKain

There is no such thing as "low level x-rays." It is a euphemism for "safe X-ray." There is no such thing. Nice try. It is a cute term used to convince the idiots to go through these death machines. "Not have the energy to ionize!?" Are you sure about that? Says who? The TSA, LOL Show me a study that is independent that proves the safety of these machines. No long term study was done to asses the safety of these machines. Case closed.

Then go right ahead though them

  • @biped19 .... If you check the TSA website there a links to 13 studies done by 9 different independent sources -.-

You do realize why your "there is no such thing (as a low level...)" is complete BS don't you? If not bad news for you you have to build yourself a lead bunker since the sky and the earth both emit radiation

plus why the hell are you even argueing? I am against those scanners but due to privacy and not some BS

  • @RazielKain

No need for a lead bunker with "low level radiation." There are certain harmless particles that make it through, many don't, period. Thanks to the Earths Magnetosphere, Ionosphere, etc, and even simple cloud cover. But, keep reading the government's paid off "independent sources. " These similar unrepeatable ones that gave everyone the AGW hoax. Besides, your logic makes no sense. If you believe you are "bombarded" by dangerous "radiation from the sky", why add to the dosage?

  • @biped19 Are you honestly trying to deny background radiation? oO

Okay go get yourself a Geiger Counter and a piece of lead

Now cower the counter with the lead

    check value near zero

now point the Geiger counter at the sky

The increased radiation you get during the flight is higher than the amount you get from the scanner

  • To cr9527!! I'm a student in nuclear fysics and medical imaging. I can say that there is NO HEALTHY DOSE OF RADIATIAN. Exposure is allowd only under 1 rule in for example hospitals, ALARA = As Low As Reasonebly Posible. The rays of the machine are not very penetriv en the dose is mayby not high but all it takes is a single damaged DNA string to couse ?skin cancer? a cancer in your lens!!..

etc etc. I listend to this whole movie and can olso say that the things told are facts :).

  • X-Ray Scanners are a cancer risk

But Milimeter Wave machines are NOT.

Milimeter waves are hundreds to thousands times Weaker than X-rays, and are even weake than Visible Light. They Are no more a cancer risk than a Visible Light. Infact, are Less of a cancer risk.

  • I would stay away of those bloody scan machines if I am giving the choice !
