adding a propeller might have helped a bit once he got air borne, Or even adding Flaps in order to stay on the ground longer. I barely know anything about planes and I could have done a much better job. I guess staying in school isn't such a bad idea after all.
Back in the late 70's a guy named Stan Crumble use to jump 3 tractor/trailers (big rigs) nose to tail like this. I seen him do it a few times. Until he was severely burned trying to break a world record running through a tunnel of fire on That's incredible. I seen that too. My dad knew a bunch of stuntmen,

mmm poorly done - motor drives wheel, wheel pushs dirt, not motor pushes air and wheel.
Also wing either lacks depth - to be Way longer than the bike, or needs tail way out the back on spar to control angle of attack.
