yes, it is Jack I feel the most for here, he looks heartbroken at being left behind, and that is even before he knows just how bad things are. Bless him, he deserved to be treated better..:(

The Doctor knew at the time he left him though, he knew what Rose did. He admits as much in Utopia when he said he had known 'ever since i ran anyway from you' - i.e when he left Jack on the space station. This makes it an even shItter thing to have done because he could have at least explained to Jack what had happened to him before he left him behind. Pretty poor way to repay a guy that literally died for him.

true that's what Tennant said but it doesn't match up to the scene here. the tardis was already fading when Jack entered the room. it was probably written to make him more bad ass but the chris doc was more Tom baker fun guy with a heart.

he explans it to Martha in "Utopia". As a time agent he has a time teleport band. He aimed for the 20th Century but missed, landed in the 19th and waited.Torchwood found him sometime in the early 1900's and he worked w/ them until now.

The new Doctor is more his Dad ..keeps disabling it. Chris never cared

he didn't have to see him. he knew. he could sense Jack was alive from the second Rose bought him back. Hence his horrified expression when she says ' i bring life' and his pleading with her to stop it. I feel your a little bit in denial on this point, tbh...;)

Just accept that the doctor can be an  arsehole when he wants to be and move on rather than trying to reinvent history!

Figured it out ...when he ran away from him was when he and Martha were in Cardiff and making ready to leave. Dr looked up, saw Jack running up on the monitor and he made a rush to leave. In Utopia he said that even the Tardis knew and tried to shake him off which is why the landed so far out.

Dr thought he was dead, sees him running up ...Rose said "I bring life"=Jack's Immortal Crap!

it is like time is a big circle. While traveling with the doctor they always saw the words Bad Wolf. when Rose looks into the Tardis she sees everything in time, including the fact that SHE began the Bad Wolf thing. she had a job and by taking the words Bad Wolf and sprending it into her past to lead her into soaking up the vortex, saving the doctor, and spreading the words when the past happens in her time. very hard to explain but awesome concept.

It is. I love being able to imagine this actually happen. In movies and TV, i absolutely know that this is not real and never will be...they are actors.
