Thanks Jason, I think this is important... private members bills never end up anywhere and they can do so much - IF the public are aware of them! How does one petition their PC government official to vote for them?

If you would like to help the bill pass I would suggest googling your local MP and sending them an email. You could also search for a Bill C-289 news article and share it on your facebook or other social network page. Writing your local newspaper is another good way to raise awareness for this issue.
