I think of this clip often when dishing up meals for a resident in the nursing home where I work whose name is Martha.... the high school girls who take the plates out to the dining room have no idea what I am talking about
there is an edited version of this in the song m is for martha by the accused were stuff is rearranged and what not and it is really funny too so check it out
That clip's available on DVD (as part of an episode in the Old School collection); it's also been posted here by a user with the screenname sawing14s, I think. Search his collection--it should be there.
Always loved the sound design in this li'l 'toon. I think it's gotta be from the very early days, not season 13, 'cause I remember it from when I was a kid--quite a long time ago! Peace.
Glad you enjoyed it, but please read the description again; I said *Episode* 13, which would've been old enough for those days (it aired in late November of '69). I agree, though, that the audio effects are pretty darned good; it's little details like those that made Sesame Street fun to watch.
Right; #1092 is the episode I got the clip from personally, but it's aired as long ago as #13 (way, way back--when Sesame Street was barely a month old).

Funny. I'm a teacher, and they're teaching incorrect strokes to print "m" LOL
