PJ likes the Who music and want to make their own versions...what´s the problem?? I just enjoy these songs, good words, good melody...Really good song...why I should say: Only The WHO is that one thing in the world.... I know that Aaron Lewis (or what ever) covered PJ...that was not good in my opinion but he likes PJ and wanted to make his own version of Black...I think it was good though it was not better than original.

Why are you all arguing about the relevance of THE WHO. They are legends...no doubting that but sadly, John Entwhistle and Keith Moon are no longer with us and they will never be replaced. Bands don't write music to compete with other bands or prove who is the best. They write music so people can enjoy it. If you constantly compare this band against that band or whatever......you miss out on the most important thing...the music itself......its not a competition. Just enjoy the sounds.

Okay, everyone settle down. Pearl Jam does a decent cover of Baba O'Riley. Eddie is a good front man and he is a huge fan of The Who. Because he understands their importance in rock history. He has loved The Who since he was 10 years old just like me. I was introduced to The Who as well by an older kids on my street. They schooled me about the greatness, depth and power of the band. And they were absolutely correct about this in 1981. It is as true today as ever.

The Who are better, but their time in the spotlight is over. Pearl Jam is still a great band, and their Baba O'Riley is one of the best covers of the Who I've ever heard.

But THE WHO's show was in a terrible hall, small, without any ventilation, and there were less than 10,000 people watching. How can you explain this?

Eddie Vedder's diction on this is better than the Who's. Pearl Jam do good interpretations/covers of some classic rock.
