@thompson8305 : There are different types of passages in the Bible. While they are all of equal importance, they shouldn't all be taken literally. Parables, for example, are valued for the moral behind them, the point that Christ was making by telling them. Not because they actually happened. We aren't supposed to be recreating anything that happened in the Bible. Every passage in the Bible either reports on events that occured, or instructs us on how we are to live our lives.

@hamza995 You are extremely mistaken. Have you heard of the trinity. God is Himself in 3 forms; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Son, Jesus, is God and claims to be God many times. John 10:30- I and the Father are one. John 14:11- Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.

@SummerSunshine1988 the bible was not written by god, it was written by man. hundreds of years after the facts may or may not have actually taken place. this video is an example of the contradictions in the bible, some flaws and errors are in here too. there are hundreds of flaws and errors. maybe you should try reading it sometime yourself instead of listening to the verses your priest handpicked cuz they sound good? open your eyes and shut your ears

@thompson8305 : That verse says nothing about women. It's about masters and slaves. Slavery used to be a very common practice. The only reason Christianity has caused damage is because people get it in their heads that force = conversion. And might I point out that Christianity is not the only religion with people going off the deep end. Islam was originally a peaceful religion, and look what happened to it. Religion and God are two totally different things.

@thompson8305 : Two main reasons come to mind. One, because it allows us to complete the part of our Salvation that is up to us: baptism. And two, because it acts as a means of worship. Of course there are other lesser reasons, too.

When someone says "God, I don't want to be with you", His response is "Okay, go. There is a place for you, you can go be there." God respects you and your choices and He will never violate your choices. And let me just point out that God does not condone the killing of the non-believer. That is a flaw of man.

He respects us enough to give us the choice to follow Him or not. If you don't want God, that's your choice, not His. God is not dead. He is alive and well enough to respect your choices.

@thompson8305 : There are different types of passages in the Bible. While they are all of equal importance, they shouldn't all be taken literally. Parables, for example, are valued for the moral behind them, the point that Christ was making by telling them. Not because they actually happened. We aren't supposed to be recreating anything that happened in the Bible. Every passage in the Bible either reports on events that occured, or instructs us on how we are to live our lives.
