Its incredibly frustrating and after a while you really do lose hope. But withdrawing all the troops at once would put a lot of iraqi civilians at risk, particularly women.

I am American and I am completely ashamed of the events in Iraq. We have more people that hate us now more than ever. I remember what it felt like to be looked up to from other countries and being viewed as a good country with good intentions (most of the time). Whenever I go to Europe I get asked quite a bit of political views, who I would vote for etc. and I can tell most of Europe is praying for Obama to get in and I am as well!

@kovi17 the thing is the soldiers really are trying, they build roads and schools but a day or two later they are blown up by the iraqis. Its incredibly frustrating and after a while you really do lose hope. But withdrawing all the troops at once would put a lot of iraqi civilians at risk, particularly women.

Actually, as a MEMBER OF THE MILITARY, whose fiancee, brother in law, father, sister, and basically everyone I know is in the military...yeah...our pay has actually been increased, by a lot, under Bush. As opposed to every Democrat ever who has cut it over and over and over.
Being as I am a nuclear reactor operator with a nuclear engineering degree, if you think that the depleted uranium used in shells has enough radiation to in any way effect a person, you're stupid. I'm sorry but you are.

are Dr. in the military and they are getting good pay increase, but overall the average solder is not getting paid enough and actually is worse off because of the high cost of living. inflation at 2%!! roflmao besides how are the veterans doing? once you leave the service you are getting less every year from the republicans, it took Jim Webb to finally get the Vets a little of what their service earned them.

2 % inflation, sure and I can buy gas at $1.50 a gallon and spend $50 a week for groceries, houses are still around $150,000 for a decent one, no wait gas is now $4.20 a gallon, it cost me $50 everyday for groceries and the houses that use to be 150,000 5 years ago are still going for 400,000 but inflation is 2% lol
