  • @edeligonul it does

  • @edeligonul god i hope not

i dont want any satanic illuminati propaganda shit releated with animes, mangas or cartoons

  • "This is Satanic shit" : here is the kind of reaction you get from people who didn't even watch the whole movie and assume things without knowing. I'm always disturbed to realize misinformation is held up as a blessing nowadays...

  • An epitome of the Science Fiction films. The revolutionary movie that lunged Science Fiction into a new era.

If you don't like this movie, then go throw your Terminator, throw your Robocop, and throw your I-robot and all the similar movies out of the window. Because those were inspired from this, and only this movie.

  • that movie is what makes gaga n beyonce act the way they do

  • It looks like lady GaGa!

  • Great new book (Did these stories really happen?), at amazon,

has informative section on Fritz Lang and his movies!

  • o hell no what kinda of evil shit is this??

  • @lawyerinfuture

it's what Nancy Pelosi does every morning...

  • I have a vision. I want to reshoot this movie with modern equipment. I will change nothing to keep the spirit of the movie alive. Who wants to work with me on this? =)

  • @TurbeenBeatz I bet its a porn movie you want to shoot? :P

  • it's satanic.bottom line..anyone who thinks otherwise....is an idiot...even a satanist would agree..........wake the fuck up people

  • @faceoff777 i definitely agree. did you ever notice that theres an inverted pentagram in the background too??

  • what the hell are you ppl talking about!?

  • very satonic!! but beyonce' and others are following that movie... so we, the public would be concidered workers or robots. Watch what you do and allow ur children to engage in! or they too will be "workers" in detroying Gods will.

  • @GARDEMAIVEN7

The hell? Did you guys even WATCH Metropolis? Do you even know what it's about?

  • @GARDEMAIVEN7

    Man your a fuckin retard.

  • fuk the illuminati.

  • illuminati

  • satanic shit

  • how is this satanic?! really, I want to know.

  • Does anyone know if there is any making-of-footage done of this movie?

In that case, something out on the internet?

  • it would be awesome, but i dont think that they made such stuff in '27 and they couldnt find the whole movie yet...

  • @InFocus4

Sadly no making of. It's a miracle the movie was even saved. It was created in Germany shortly before the start of all that "Oh noes! They think differently! Kill them!" crud, and there's a lot of missing footage and pieces probably lost forever. The director basically left the country as soon as Hitler came to power since a good portion of his movies were anti-nazi. Wikipedia has a lot of information about the special effects though.

  • the film has portions of anti nazi?

  • But Fritz Lang's wife was a nazi...and she is the scenarist of this movie. Fritz Lang wasn't a nazi but his wife yes!

  • @judefrehley

Doesn't change that a lot of his movies spoke out against Nazi's and the Nazi regime, hence why he fled the country. Plus, in Germany at the time a woman's opinion didn't seem to count for much.

  • hypnotic stare

  • did the girl die afterwards or something?

  • no, it looks like it from this clip but she manages to escape, and helps Freder save the children and...oh maybe I should just let you watch the whole movie :) but she doesn't die in this clip.

  • No.

  • how did they make those effects?!

  • They shot the robot first. They then rewound the tape in the camera, put a matte cutout over the robot and then carefully moved brightly lit paper circles up and down and shot those. Constantly rewinding and reexposing the film until all the pieces were there.

  • wow, that seems complex; and confuses as i don't really understand it.

are there any videos of this or similar methods?

    and thank you :)

  • The only way they could get all those effects on the screen was to mask parts of the film, expose them, mask other parts and expose others until all the bits were in. It's a long and ardous process. The photo of the paper cutouts and the matte can be found on the KINO film restored DVD.

  • I have it on dvd, hard to believe its 83 years old, the f/x were way, WAY ahead of its time.

  • where did you get this? It is the same clip Encarta Encyclopedia used
