Gayle was a very talented, well rounded dancer. Although not one of my "favorites" I don't have anything against her. I think (this is just my opinion) that she was over shadowed by the extreme popularity of Darcel, Pam and Deborah. This season she got more "exposure" with both Darcel and Deborah gone.
Interesting that you got this through with Henley intact as Geffen produced his song, and Warner provided 100% of Geffen's funding. Go ahead and delete this comment if you think it wil be a problem, but I doubt WMG reads these comments.
I doubt they read them too. Just because WMG funded Geffen doesn't mean they have a legal claim on the stuff produced by Geffen. Companies like ATLANTIC show to be subsidiaries of WMG but for some reason - GEFFEN doesn't appear that way. Who knows??
Yes there was a spin off "Solid Gold Hits". It was on during season 4 and featured Deborah Jenssen, Cooley Jackson, Raymon Del Barrio and Tricia McFarlin (apparently Macarena Gandarillas and Pam Rossi appeared on the show also). It was a daily 30 minute show hosted by Grant Goodeve and only lasted about 40 episodes. During this perios Deborah and Cooley did "double duty" on Solid Gold and Solid Gold Hits.
If Solid Gold Hits would have made it past the summer and into the fall they would have added Nicole Romine, Beverly Jeanne, Jamilah Lucas, Pam Rossi and Gayle Crofoot to put double duty on Solid Gold and Solid Gold Hits along with Cooley and they would've kept Tricia and Raymond.
sorry for zzgregg82 channel, this video is very good, keep in mind that nicole was 19 years old in that season, right she looks like a teen I love when you post the hole top ten, and rick sometimes were funny and sometimes was ... you know
Hey The Ending Line for Rick Dees on Solid Gold are better than the ones with Bob Saget on AFHV when they make up their own ending lines!, for the Record Deborah Ludwig Davis sings the theme music for Season 5 better than Jill Colucci who sings the funny things you do (AFHV Theme), wow!
No clue why that happened, but I have a feeling it will eventually get my other posting muted. Good think I have an "alternate" version ready to post once it does!
Janeen replace Lezlie between this episode on episode 33. And then Darlene showed up around 40. Did this cause this replacement late in the season??

One of the big pluses for Season 5 for me was the focus it gave to Gayle. I believe she had at least three solo numbers (sole female dancer).

My favorite is the Lezlie/Cooley combo. For me, Lezlie took up the "hot chick" role when Deborah went to SGHits.

sorry but what do you mean Debotah went to SGHits. You mean there other Solid gold prog?

Is this a supposition on your part, or a little known fact that you have gotten from somewhere over the years????

Rick wrote much of his own comedy. Which I didn't care for even when he was on KIIS FM down here in LA (at the same time he did Solid
Gold).
I just never found him funny.

How did "Along Comes A Woman" by Chicago get muted here but not in the other clip with Peter Brown in it?
