Hmm.. This is rather interesting.. I know Curly Ray's daughter, and grand daughter very well.. His grand daughter was one of my mothers closest friends growing up... And, even though I'm 18, and this isn't my cup of tea.. Haha.. I have to give credit where credit is due.. He seemed to be a damn good musician! Haha.
This show took place at the Oak Ridge High School auditorium. Knoxville Grass played a set and then Ralph played his set. Knoxville Grass also did the sound. It was sponsored by the Freternal Order of Police Atomic Lodge #1. I was the person who arranged the show. Its hard to realize this was 23 years ago. Time passes by too quickly.
Curly Ray Cline always happy and a great performer. I was at his show and had a great time. Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys were there. A great show! Thank you very much for posting this song!!!!!!
Howdy folks! This is Sharron Adkins, Sammy's cousin. My husband who is his blood cousin plays the fiddle in his band, along with,Jr. Blankenship, Danny Lee Davis, and Aaron Jackson. I am asking all of you to come and join our fan page on facebook. It is managed by all of us Adkins' and Sammy included. Please spread the word to help build up his fan page and here is where you can always keep up with him, his music, and shows. Let that mountain Syle of bluegrass live on through us. See ya there!

curly ray was the pride and joy of puke county..mountain folk, where the family tree doesn't bend..trannys are a no no in puke county..SHAME ON PIKEVILLE...a disgrace to kentucky
My all time favorite fiddler. Maybe not the best, but no one could ever put more feeling in his music than curly ray! although i never met him, i feel like i know him through his music! :) He's my hero!
Curly Ray Cline is a distant cousin of mine, I always heard stories of him as a child being put up on the kitchen table to play his handmade fiddle for his kinfolk! Now that's a legacy that makes this fiddler proud!
