@jebenteenmongool1 a lot of skaters used to ride with tiny ass wheels (many do today too, but it was more common in the late 80s/ early 90s). It just makes the board lighter and flip tricks are easier to actually perform (the "flip" part) but I would think it's a little harder to land on. I've only skated 53 or 54 mm wheels. Anyone have any experience with much smaller wheels?

I like how the focus of this thread has become all about fashion rather than about the skating. It reflects quite badly on how many fashion victims there are who are interested in skating (mostly by wearing the clothes and sitting down at skate spots) who seem to pay attention to what people are wearing rather than what (and how) they are doing.

@wowsux97 In the early 90ies everybody got obsessed with flip tricks and smaller wheels make the board easier to flip. So the smaller the better (for that era). The wheels became smaller, while the pants became bigger, so nowadays most people call that time the "big-pants-small-wheels-era".
