  • I saw this on TV when I was younger. Scared the shit outta me. Kill it with copious amounts of fire please...

    What? It's already dead?

    THANK HUMANITY!

  • WTF????

  • That is the best that could happen to this baby! RIP

  • I'm so disgusted by some of these comments. "Oh it was a parasite" "Oh its not a human" "Oh its gross." This was a child that could blink, suckle, sleep etc. People are treating both Islam and Manar like a freak show. Do I believe the parents did the right thing? Sadly yes but that's because if they didn't go through with the surgery they would have lost both babies. And one person made an interesting comment. They left Islam bare and didnt bother to make her a shirt

  • its okay I didn't want to sleep tonight anyway

  • tell me please, did islam have a brain? or only manar? because i'm confused if they cut the scond twin that had he feelings or not? i'm not a medician just asking

  • I'm just wondering, how the heart of the "main" baby can supply to an "extra body".

  • In my opinion, they shouldn't have tried to remove the other half, he/she had the same right to live as the complete half. And to what end? Both dying? That was murder in my opinion.

  • @Tchon Ill informed and uneducated statement. Have you read the top comment? Clearly states that the "other half" is under complete control of Manar. It was piggybacking off her Manars own organs. It was, in every way, a parasite that needed to be culled.

  • BURN IT WITH FIRE. OMFG. GETOUT THE HEAVY ARTILLERY.

  • @Horiz0n7 You are a MAJOR asshole, I hope you burn in hell.

  • which died :|

  • im sorry, this may be an inappropriate question but how on earth did the mother give birth to her? i dont think it would be possible for vaginal birth... sorry just curious maybe a ceesecction? i feel so badly for Manar :*( life can be so cruel and unfair its so horrible. *cries*

  • did the extra head have a brain

  • that's interesting, how their brains worked together. or the second head hadn't working brain or they had one brain for two?

really, if they grew up together for some years, it'll be really interesting

  • What I think is really scary is how she had another head that would almost develop into her 'twin sister'. Its really sad that they had to remove it. For me, it felt like they were killing her supposed 'twin sister'. Really sad.

  • there's obviously no god...get over it...this is just a genetic malformation, neither of them are supposed to have lived for long...that's how nature is

  • its sad that the baby died;

  • Omg did he live because I cried and cried

  • No heart and no lungs, how is that thing moving is it just nerves or something?

  • @PRchica101 Islaam didn't have a heart to live. She was surviving on the heart and lungs of Manar. She was getting nutrition from Manar. She was exchanging gases through Manar's lungs. And she was having blood supplied from Manar's heart.

  • @PRchica101 that thing had a human brain, is just that she was draining all the recourses from her sister, she was a parasite, like me

  • @PRchica101 don't fucking call her a thing! that's fucked up.

  • aww poor baby :(

  • Hit play, ad press"6" and "7" back and forth... "Kickin' You Slowly" lol

  • 1:03 doctors are like shit what the fuck am i supposed to do

  • Let's play some foooootbaallllll!!!!! hahaha you know what i'm getting at.

  • Manaar was so beautiful. Too bad she had such a problem.

  • the last second was really creepy :S

  • Errr no baby of here kind ever survive? Well, good luck =/=

  • she didnt die she is alive with a disability!!

  • @pearl1978wagner

she survived the surgery and had a disability afterwards, but she died shortly before her second birthday due to brain infection.

  • wow, that is really bizarre

  • I want say something too .... Congratulations to the Mayor Doctor and his team they were amazing... R.I.P. little girl ... we know you soffer a lots... God bless you.

  • @rollindeperu And god bless the other head, since it was alive.

  • I wonder why God does this to people. If we wants to create people he should make healthy people, or atleast let them live longer. This should have been me, not the poor baby's. She is soo cute! I love her and always will. I just pray to god to not let anyone go through this. She couldn't even start talking. She was so young

  • @TheTacoLadyMusic I'm not trying to start any sort of religious argument, but do you ever think it's not God that does this? That maybe this is the result of the sin in our lives? Just a point to think on.

  • Manar..heavens wonderful angel! Rest n peace!

  • 2 beatiful people and dear why not? In my opinion matter who it hurts the heat could have caused a stronger blood circulation and lack harm If the food does not go down come out in top If a caif would not have commercial value because Cowardly assassination

  • honestly with all the children in the world it really doesnt make a difference. how about we worry about the children with no parents at all.

  • Islaam had no chance of life, what do you expect doctors to do, build a bunch of organs for a baby which would of killed manar anyways? Sheesh people, doctors are not God, they cant work miracles all the time

  • @TheMimiWeeny She passed away due to a brain infection caused by

hydrocephalus. She would be 6 years old now.

  • @TheMimiWeeny neither can `god`

  • @TheMimiWeeny docters dnt do miracles ut they have to try to save thier patient cuz thats wat they do thats thier job and they have to keep tryin until the patient goes to heaven with god

  • @TheMimiWeeny Not god ? Then why did god make her like this in the first place? There is no god ..

  • @adidasman1234 fucking troll!!

  • @adidasman1234

    funny ?

  • And where is god? There is no god. So much pain in this world. So much sadness. An the people still believe in god.

  • you idiots need to understand that just because the head is moving and looks like it is alive and well... it isn't!!! it is Manar who is controlling the head!! it is apart of him. iit is an extreme abnormality but still a parasite none the less. get over the face and the "oh their killing an innocent baby" the parasite was Manar and is a piece that has been removed. Some people have two mouths and can control them both.

  • @THURO4EVER You are wrong....the "parasite" had higher brain function....emotions and response. Manar only perfused the other head ...it did not control it

  • @THURO4EVER it's a parasite but i think it had it's own brain, so it wasn't being controlled by the other one.

  • @THURO4EVER Do you understand anatomy at all? She is considered a parasite, but she has a brain also. It was taking nutrients and oxygen from Manar. That being said, what was done had to be done. I'm just glad they were too young to comprehend the matter.

  • thats not fair to her twin, i mean manar wanted to love a normal life but islam did too.

  • Comment removed

  • IN SPIRITUAL THINGS, SATAN IS THE PRINCE OF THIS EARTH, HE HAVE ALTER GENETICS. THE WORLD IS DAMNED, SO, THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE ANYMORE.

  • @tomprman I don't see where else to live.

  • @tomprman I think your genetics are the only ones altered. Well yours and others who think like you. Tee hee. Go take your meds.

  • I cant believe the comments on how everyone felt sorry for the twin. It was a parasite!!! It's like taking out a cancerous tumor and naming it. Wake up!!! The twin sucked the life out of Manar. There were no feelings no soul.

  • holy shit.. they said.. the second body atached had no heart, no organs for transforming food into nutrients..

and they were feeding the second "manar"

  • bless little Islaam xxxxx

with todays technology she should have lived... xxx

  • That is a separate child!!! They are murders!!!

  • IF you dont separate they both die, so kill one to save one. You tell me and dont throw around words before you know what your talking about.

  • @Tidfall1 Which one of your children do you want to kill to save the other....oh let me guess, you'll kill the girl to save the boy. You are a sick person. Let nature take it's course. You don't know what that means, do you. You're all about saving the boy. Is that it? OR the one who will support your dead ass when you are old. I guess it doesn't matter because Karma got the parents---they both died.

  • @maggiebridget09

They tried to save the life of one of the children, you idiot. Only an ignorant, uneducated loser such as yourself calls these doctors 'murders'. Go get a life.

  • OK, this may be real, but I am officially disturbed to the core by seeing this. Is the (feel bad writing this) second/extra head really alive or is it 2 people in one body?

  • thats fucking freaky! imagine giving birth to that and being like OMFG WTF IS THAT?!?!?! but then for the actual baby to die as well...............thats so sad! i cant even imagine how the parents must have felt =(

  • @lilbeatch

there was a story like this called the two headed boy of bengal...the head would respond to stimuli independently of the boys actualy head....the facial features changed, and when the boy was asleep, the other head would sometimes be awake with the eyes darting around the room.

  • heartbreaking

  • I think it's horrible, they are just talking about Manar and "the head".

  • Well, that's what it is, a head.

  • LOL Sorry but it reminds me of the Nurse from Southpark, Excuse me if im offending anyone. Yes i Know this is accually very sad

  • A number of you have responded from what might be called a pragmatic, or "common sense" point of view. The "ethics" of the situation are not straight forward. From an "ethical" point of view, the decision was not simple. It was because of the "ethics" of the situation that the doctors referred to Islaam only as "the head' or "the parasite". If you think the choice was simple and obvious, then you don't comprehend the "ethics" of the situation and what it meant to the doctors.

  • puunig, randompanda89, this is not simply a matter of whether I (personally) would have attempted to save the child with a full set of organs. The ethical questions are highly complex and you are missing them.

  • ....Continued.... The doctors have sworn an oath to protect life. If they acknowledge that Islaam lives, them they cannot destroy her. So they cannot even begin to treat her as a sensient being who can laugh, cry and feel fear. So the doctors do not at any time acknowledge Islaam as a "person", or speak of her by name. It is a strategy used to avoid ethical conflict.

  • Cont. 2.... The doctors spoke of these two children as a baby (ie ONE baby) with a parasitic head, or ONE baby with two heads. But despite this decision, the ethical conflict remains clear. Islaam was plainly alive and showing brain activity, until they killed her.

KiIlling this person raises question not only in the medical profession, but also of religion. In the faith of the mother, this was a child made this way by God. The doctors had to find a way around this stumbling-block.

  • Cont. 3.... I have an ethical interest in these separations. A doctor's comment after one separation in which both children died was "Even when the children die, the operation can't be regarded as a failure, because we always learn from it." In that case they were two otherwise healthy and delightful little girls that the family were encouraged (by the doctors) to have separated.

This is why it offends me that the doctors fail to acknowledge Islaam as a baby. It is unethical and dishonest.

  • But then the reason they separated them was because both were going to die for sure if they kept them together. With separating them, there was a chance of Manar living.

  • Yes, you are right, of course. But to actually make the cut that separated the children and killed Islaam meant taking a totally pragmatic approach, as in "Oh well, the parasite is going to die anyway." It was euthenasia in which the individual had not choice whatsoever. In fact neither individual had a choice. There are obvious reasons for what the doctors did. But it alarms me greatly that the doctors were so successful in denying that this was a living human brain/person that they destroyed.

  • "But it alarms me greatly that the doctors were so successful in denying that this was a living human brain/person that they destroyed."

They didn't go into this thinking"oh well, no big deal".

This is a short clip, and I'm very sure this surgery really bothered the doctors knowing the one baby would die.

In this short clip, even the mother referred to them as ONE baby.

  • It wasn't a difficult ethical question at all. It was either allow the twin to slowly "poison" Manar and thus herself both to death, or remove the twin and allow Manar to live. One dies or both die. In this situation, the obvious decision was to remove Islaam and let Manar keep living.

  • If you watch the full documentary, there was an extremely well thought out religous desicion involved. learn you're facts, then comment.

  • This video, beginning with its title, and its very first words, offends me greatly. This is NOT Manar Maged and her parasite head. This is Manar and Islaam Maged, both of who could smile and cry, and one of whom experienced the sheer terror of knowing that she was about to be removed, like a wart or a birthmark, so that her sister could be that thing that our society values so much, "normal".

  • "normal" as in, a synonym for "alive"?

watch the documentary and try to learn a thing or two before you go shitting up youtube comments.

  • what MandyJMaddison said was that this video is disgusting because it refers to Islaam as a parisite. and that they killed her because society wanted a "normal" child. They couldnt accept her for who she was, they couldnt accept Islaam as a part of her. "normal", in MandyJMaddison's veiw was sarcasm, not an acceptance of the terrible murder of Islaam.

  • Yes, they tried. They let Manar and Islaam live on for 11 months together before it was clear that Manar (and thus Islaam) would die. She had already had, what? 8 heart failures before the operation? They could save one life, or none. Islaam had no chance of survival from the moment she as born; she had no lungs, no heart, no stomach, no arms or legs, only a brain.

I know it's sad she had to die but seriously, you people act as if there was another choice that could have saved them both.

  • Would you rather attempt to save one child with a full set of organs and who actually had a chance to live a normal life or allow both to die without doing anything? The parasitic twin (and yes, I'm going to call it that - call me coldhearted, your words do not affect me in the slightest) was showing signs of gangrene due to a lack of proper blood supply. That's not a human, it's a highly-sophisticated tumor, if nothing else. And from a human perspective, it's not a life worth living.

  • Had they left both as is, they both would have died. Manar died a year or so later, unfortunately, but Manar at least had a better chance of survival by being separated. They call the other one a parasitic twin, because that twin was poisoning Manar to death, putting extra stress on Manar's organs, etc.

  • and also, of course she must have watched the whole documentary because nowhere in this does it mention Islaams name... dont be so quick to judge

  • that has got to be the scariest video i have ever seen -

    God is truly cruel sometimes

  • Oh my God, I agree with you, this is sad and creeps me out.....

  • has anyone ever seen the movie basket case when the siamese twins are like this except its sticking out the normal ones side and once they remove it they get their revenge for seperating them

  • ahh.....means they dont have to do the surgery.....now they was stil alive both.....sad

  • they had to remove the twin otherwise manar would have died...but the sad thing is, they both died, anyway.

  • My choice for the single greatest video on YouTube!

  • I thought Manar lived after surgery ;_;

So sad to hear that she died.

  • Comment removed

  • There have only been 3 cases like this. All died early (for different reasons)so they weren't able to record much of the other twin's development. Islam did not show much reaction to people, but did cry and sleep on her own. Anyway, the mother would have lost both either way sadly. I saw in one picture they even dressed Islam. The mother said it hurt her to see the deceased baby after the surgery. They did not just disregard her. The mother had a hard time even going through with the surgery.

  • this was really sad

  • uhh

    islam had no BODY

    couldnt live without manar

and was taking a HUGE toll on manars body

one blood supply going to two heads?

they would have surely died if they didnt atleast try to remove the parasite..

and it is a parasite. it couldnt live by itself, it was feeding off something else.

thats the definition of a parasite.

theres not even a question contemplating what you would do. ensure that both twins would die, or remove the parasite in hopes one would live. hmmm tough choice.

  • My friend has this same view of the fetus. When it comes to abortion debates, he sticks to the fact that until the fetus is no longer a parasite, abortion is okay.

  • it was the right thing to do, but please don't call her a parasite. She was a little girl, her situation was very sad, she didn't deserve to be in that situation. Neither did manar. She has a name, and it's not parasite, it's islam

  • Thank god :)

  • true. it broke my heart when they showed islam, dead. :(

  • they're both beautiful...i can only imagine how beautiful they wud've been if they survived ...well, they're both angels now, that's for sure..

  • Islam and Minar most likely would have looked like their twin sister. The three were to have been identical triplets if Islam had separated from Minar and developed normally in utero.

  • Then cut off part of Manars body rather than Islaams head!

  • i remember this and i couldn't believe it the first time i saw it, either. that "head" was actually her twin sister...and the doctors and the family chose to believe that little islam was just a parasitic growth that needed to be removed. i can't imagine what i would do in this situation, so i can't judge them, but that little girl was a human baby, and she was sacrificed for her sister's sake. there's no getting around that. it's beyond sad.

  • i feel so sorry for islam, it was a person not just a worthless tumor that can be removed

  • manar this, manar that WHAT ABOUT ISLAAM poor baby (she wasn't a head she was a baby with a different personality and i think she counts to!)

  • i feel the same :(

  • @iheartjonasbros101 It's sad that both babies have now passed, but I definitely cried the most when little Islaam was gone. I didn't like when they referred to Islaam as just a head. Islaam cried, smiled, was awake independently of Manar, so I believe it had a soul and definitely its own personality, so too a consciousness. That's just my belief. I understand that one had to be sacrificed for the other to live, but still, very sad.

  • I am glad she didn't survive. She was not meant to be.

  • God just proved that abortion is wrong the child is alive without a heart, and lungs.

  • Alive or not at the time of birth, they both ended up dying anyway.

  • God messed up a bit on this one.

  • holy shit! so i guess that all of the head's systems run through both their heads so that the head can recieve all the nessasary nitrients. But still like how the fuck does it live, like i feel very srry and everything, it's just that its so interesting.

  • so do they count it as 1 baby or as 2?

  • OMG that is so scary

  • I remember seeing this on TV!

  • My heart goes out to the parents. HUGs XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

  • The other head was moving... How is it possible? The head wasn't a full body.

  • Reflexes and such...no doubt the second part of the brain was malformed.

  • i like the atheist showdown here. please go on.

  • Intelligent design at its finest.

  • With shit like this happening in the world, is there even a god? Because if there was why would this be?

  • It's not just a 'head' if it would have a whole body they would call it a 'twin' but she is just as much of a person as the other baby.

  • interesting and shocking at same time.

too bad its shork. i would like to know how its ended.

  • what's disturbing is how the parasitic twin is simply referred to as "a head." what if she did feel emotion? sad.

  • Hellosztok van itt magyar ember is?

  • Hali!

  • I saw this show...It was the second case in ALL of history, the other one was before J-C and it just died because of a snake bite and not of the other baby attached to it....but Manar had to get her twin detached because it was to hard on her heart and stuff

  • The second twin, Islaam.

  • why do they call the second baby "it" ???

  • Yeah! She's a human too! It's not like the person who posted this video is an "it" . You and me are not "its" :(

  • I don't get what's wrong with our comments.

  • thats wrong they murdered both babies.

and that second baby should've had a shirt on she or he could breath and blink and all which means she or he could obviously think too and feel cold and pain.

  • If you'd actually lsitened to the video, the second head was poisoning the other one. She would have died anyway. The doctors were trying to save one at least.

  • oh sorry. I just think it's sad though that they couldn't save manar

  • Oh my God! God Bless everybody!

  • es para llorar q horrible

  • It's very sad , because even though Islam didn't have a full body , if she had a brain then she was conscious hence , should have been treated like another human being .

I see her uncovered , they didn't even bother to make a little shirt for her to keep her warm , they just have her bare skin exposed , to the environment . Did they give her a proper burial ? Muslim burial ?

  • I saw some pictures where Manar wear a normal shirt. I don't understand this, Islaam was the big obstacle. I want to know how could Islaam blink, open "her" mouth or breathing because that body moved a little bit.

I can't read about the infection because everywhere I see the same, that a "severe infection", but want to know it, what kind of infection? What was Islaam's other problems? But hope I can read about this, soon. Yeah, I think she had a proper burial.

    Thanks for your comment!

  • @CureCorpsAfrica she did have a shirt, in the first video im pretty sure, but yes i agree with you

  • wow-I love manar's twin islaam!Great job.I've sen this, and its so sad how they refer to only one baby.:(

  • WoW, You love Islaam? Do you think Islaam had another personality? I'm sorry for Manar about the infection. She was quite different after the separation. I saw she was sadder than before with Islaam. It's so sad... Thanks for the comment! ;)
