But somehow you get revived in Broken Steel even though the good ending shows Sentinel Lyons admiring what's left of you: a glowing green pile of goo.

and to be fair we only had a few old members on New Vegas and most of the Fallout 3 team on it... Fallout 3 was good but was very glitchy while Fallout 2... Never played it but.... I really want to!

@Labyethan You REALLY should play fallout 2 if you enjoy the story or setting of a world destroyed. Just be warned that the game is very very different beforehand, and not quite as forgiving as the new fallout games.

@Labyethan more along the lines of how karma did jack shit in 3 AND new vegas, and the fact that the combat is much harder and making a "mistake" or doing something on accident could get you killed... something simple like checking a bookcase could piss everyone off.

Karma plays a rather huge role in the old games. If a town isnt alright with you, anything you do they dont like could easily get you killed. I dont think you ever had to give up your weapons in the original games, but you did have to go empty handed a lot

A very interesting story at that. Calling the first two games crap just because they are different is shameful. They had to change the way the series played to work with consoles, and while I HATE the way the storylines are so disconnected, I like the new games too.

@Dimdim316 I think that fallout 3 was a great game that existed completly within the universe of its predecessors, while being separate. The Fallout 1/2 and fallout 3 take place on opposite coasts, which is why they had little ties as far as stories go (however still help complete the bigger picture of the post great war world), where as Fallout: New Vegas still takes place generally on the west coast. I found no problem with the continuity of them and would honestly look forward to the remakes.

Aqua pura is instead of begin purified water is now a nasty poison that causes severe de-buffs and death if drunk repeatedly (including yourself). and all the hospitals in the wasteland are full of dead and dying pepole. But the brotherhood still unwittingly helps in distributing it.

Instead of dying, you just faint and wake up 2 weeks later, With Broken Steel, you can send your companions, such as charon or fawkes, but you'll be downed as well.

@twoforthewin well falkins (the friendly super mutant) inserts the code (hes imune to radiation) but something happens and the mc and the blond girl fall unconscious for a few months you character wakes up but the blond girl is still asleep so the game continues the point is the MC dosent die in the chamber and the game continues thats all i know i hope it helps

@64BitComms Super Mutants died because of the FEV that was put into the purifier. It kills all mutation caused by nuclear radiation.

But since 200 years passed, a LOT of the humans had some kind of mutation, be it subtle or otherwise, so a lot of people died. The people that were still alive are the pure humans, but chances are they didn't last long.
