  • at 7:47 where you say "switch that"....what did you switch? It looked like you clicked the zoom tool...???

  • @mrslink2 He switched the black as foreground to background. When he originally applied the gradient the top part of the circle faded away. But he wanted the bottom part to fade away instead. So he clicked on to the mini-squares to switch foreground/background colour.

  • i came here searching for the extract tool in cs4 (they don't include extract in cs4 x64) and instead i find these many tutorials about layer masks :)) use extract and the eraser. much easyer :D (ALT inverts the erasing) i hope i find a better use for layer masks :-s

  • i always use layer masks =) another trick is to Alt + Click on the layer mask to see in black and white

  • what do you do when every time you click on the brush, it says that it does not correspond to the chanel. how do you set up your tools so that it works with the mask layer.. mine ever works on the layer mask :( or is there a way to brush without having to use the layer?

  • Well, I got two pictures open at the same time, which took me awhile to figure out how to do, but how do you get the background picture in the little box on the right, and then the layer a different picture in order to combine them.

  • there should be a button on the left it says opactity. drag that down froem 100% to something else hope that helps
