That's a great play area. Shower curtain rings from Dollar Tree or the thrift store make great chains and are cheap! Check out my Corkie The Miniature Macaw videos by chearching my channel for Corkie. She's quite a character and I'm sure you will enjoy her videos. She talks a lot.
Another good idea is to check out baby toys at department stores. The other night I went to Target and got a 24 pack of colored links for babies, very similar to the shower curtain rings...it was only 2.99They keep Akando busy for a long time. We're definitely not going to find safe foot toys that cheap at a bird store.

Thanks.... our large birds love it. Akando is out there right now having fun. It's kind of nice letting him play outside for a couple of hours or so. He has this special *scream* he lets out when he's ready to come inside to have his formula and relax. We'll welcome Jazz and Petey any day! Make sure they pack their sunscreen.... it has been quite warm lately.
We rehomed him, he did not get along with my ruby macaw & the constant fighting got to be to much. If i'd had a bigger place he'd still be with me. I get updates about him all the time. Hoping someday I can get him back. :(
What a great playground! That is super and he looks like he is having so much fun!

Thanks! He REALLY enjoys playing out there every afternoon...spends a good 3-4 hours playing everyday ;-)
The cute part is that he *calls* me when he's ready to come inside LOL!
