Yeah I was lucky finding this album buying it because it was catching my eye playing its tunes in the cd case along with the other cd's. I walked right up to it looked down there it was sounded just like it did when I walked in the store. Amazing something that doesn't project sellout could sell itself just sitting in the store. Maybe it was the name, it was a time when people were becoming further from youth. Check out Sunday Flood! it's not my band but they're really good sort of like Trails.
The self titled hinted at talent. Madonna was pretty good. Source Tags & Codes was epic. A fantastic album. Everything after seems to fall short. Their masterpiece came out a little too early. Still something I'll put on though.
@arenasefi Theyre still a great band, yeah they never topped this album, but worlds apart has amazing tracks on it, and the century of self does too. Isis unvelied was a fucking belter. The only truly shit album they have is the one after worlds apart (cant think of the name) and tis bad because they only recorde dit out of contractual obligation
so that distortion sound is on every recording of this song? you hear that crackling popping sound right? I've had this on cd for years and always thought that sound was from the cd being scratched or something haha!
the violins at the end of this song play the melody of 'how near how far'. i always wondered why they didnt put that one BEFORE 'how near how far' on the album. such a great transition. anyway its awesome first listening to this and then instantly to 'how near how far' afterwards. do it, people!
top notch

2002, junior year high school, so much heartache and so much love, all with this album as the soundtrack.

First year of university for me, but otherwise, same story here man.
Wouldn't substitute any of it; especially not the soundtrack.

Ha - I thought I was the only one who does that. Flip it to track 5 at the right moment and it's phenomenal. One day I'll wreck my car doing this...
