Oh, does this ever bring back memories! Back in the late 80's, me, my girlfriend and her little sister used to rock out to Boston on the way to get pizza on Friday nights. Thanks for posting this!
@40Rtruss i'm a few years older than you but i was in high school in the 70's and graduated in '81. can you imagine what absolute stunned, speechless horror an Adam Lambert would have generated? Well that's when men were expected to have male attributes like chest hair. (say it aint so!!)
@SouthernBreeze there isnt nothing wrong with rap man just modern day rap is getting bad. you're probably an older man though who grew up listening to this music. i grew up to the modern crap like souljaboy, justin bieber, jonas brothers, lil wayne, etc. you just need to cool the engines man. 90s rap isnt bad in fact its was the best kinda of like 60s and 70s rocks is the best. i know you probably will still dislike rap but it isnt all bad. classic rock is very good though
@Woz814 man. finally someone said the true here. unfortunately in these days people forgot what is real music, the real talent. the real rap is nice, but who do that nowadays? even rock, the bands that is released , just a little we can say that is good or amazing, a little bit!
Actually, Boston was like a saving grace from disco, which had made all music suck into a black hole. Boston brought it back to life. Saw them live in '77 (I think...maybe 78) in Mobile, AL., of all places.

Brad was a firm believer in a drug-free lifestyle, and I think it is insulting to smear his quite natural talent with such drivel...you should be ashamed of yourself! Now, go put on "Don't Look Back" and kneel before the speaker and pray for his forgiveness!!! I'm sure he'll understand whatever weak excuse you give him for speaking so poorly of him!!! <
@spalkin Lol are you serious?? At the ver very most he might have smoked a little pot back in the 70's man and thats a mabey. Just thining cause he wrote the lyrics for party.
when i first moved in with my now wife and son all the music he had known was country, so i made him a "tub tape" with songs like this that rocked but were easy to sing to, to this day he still knows the words and buys his own boston cd's.
Rock lost a musical icon with the passing of Brad Delp. His vocal arrangements were way ahead of the times, his range unsurpassed. Una de las mejores bandas que ha podido existir en este universo. Es una lastima la perdida de Brad Delp pero hay que seguir adelante. Entiendo que estaban en gestion de sacar una nueva produccion. Boston "THE BEST"
The first two albums posessed an energy that was unheard of during that time. Their guitar player Scholz (sp?) was a graduate of MIT, and used his knowledge of electronics engineering to pioneer a whole new world of sound technology. Has anyone ever heard of the "Rockman" amplifiers, they truly are just as amazing as this band was. The first two albums were ahead of their time because this band produced sounds and effects using standard equipment, where other bands were having to synthesize.
a few years back, went to a night club.there was a band from baltimor playing. after a few minutes they playd this very song. after a few minutes. I thout oh! my god! theese musicians are good. wow. they plaid about 7 songs. including waisted years. as good as the cover. wow! if any one would like to know the name of the band. just ask.
@jbs4065 its sad....he killed himself, but he was such a nice person that he left a note outside of the house warning people of harmful fumes. (asphyxiation) great guy.
@dokkenfan45 WTF are you talking about? COWBELL? WHERE? DO yo uthink we're all stupid & that you're referencing A SNL joke of B.O.C.'s "don't fear the reaper"? What's wrong w/ u? That is such bad taste/karma. You must be a kid, at least in your head. You're a loser who isn't worthy to SMELL BRAD'S SH*T. check your history, find out whats going on B4 u open your mouth & have respect for the dead, phuquefase. If you have balls, email me ur #n private to discuss it, f u have juevos.
@RavenousMedicine Same here. And dokkenfan45, you have the right to joke as much as you want. That's what it WAS. A JOKE. Not a big deal.
This is a really badass song. Though actually it took a bit of time to grow on me. I didn't really start to like it until I bought the Boston greatest hits album.
And let's face it, EVERY song could use some more cowbell!
Boston simply has (d) natural talent. It can't get any better. I wish they woul d have released more albums back in the day but I am perfectly happy with this.
boston what a awesome rockband they were R.I.P Brad Delp what a shame to kill himself .
what was the reason for?
to much pressure or no success anymore or drugs or too much alcohol or maybe a women or no money? who knows
but if one of these things happened to him thats not worth it to kill his own life my goodness.Life goes on today is a shid day and tomorrow is a nice day thats life
His life was just not the way he wanted it to be. You can feel free to ask all these obnoxious questions, but i almost went through with killing myself. Its just because you can't handle life anymore, and im sure it was completely personal.
I'LL NEVER FORGET WHEN I (we) WENT TO ATTEND ONE OF THEY CONCERTS IN 2000. IT WAS ME, MY WIFE, AND A COUPLE OF HER FRIENDS. WE DROVE IN MY WIFE'S '99 PONTIAC TRANS AM FIREBIRD w/THE TOP DOWN.(but we had to fit 4 full-grown adults) WHEN WE GOT THERE, WE COULDN'TVE HAD A BETTER TIME. BEERS WERE ON ME AND EACH OF US HAD 2 BEFORE THE 1ST SONG ENDED(this song). FORTUNATELY, NONE OF US WERE HEAVILY ALCOHOLED BY THE END, BUT I GOT TO DRIVE THE 'BIRD BACK HOME. NOW THAT'S A GOOD TIME!

Your so right. Their sound is so unique that I can identify a Boston song from just a few cords

If you have to go that is probably one of the least painful ways...you basically go to sleep and not wake up !

Brad Delp was the greatest rock voice ever. Probably no coincidence that he also happened to be in the greatest band ever.

@jbs4065 its sad....he killed himself, but he was such a nice person that he left a note outside of the house warning people of harmful fumes. (asphyxiation) great guy.

The only thing this song is missing is MORE COWBELL. Other than that it is a masterpiece. xD
dokkenfan45 2 years ago
@dokkenfan45 WTF are you talking about? COWBELL? WHERE? DO yo uthink we're all stupid & that you're referencing A SNL joke of B.O.C.'s "don't fear the reaper"? What's wrong w/ u? That is such bad taste/karma. You must be a kid, at least in your head. You're a loser who isn't worthy to SMELL BRAD'S SH*T. check your history, find out whats going on B4 u open your mouth & have respect for the dead, phuquefase. If you have balls, email me ur #n private to discuss it, f u have juevos.

anyways, wicked fucking song. one of my favorites from boston. thank you for posting this.

I wish they woul d have released more albums back in the day but I am perfectly happy with this.

boston what a awesome rockband they were R.I.P Brad Delp what a shame to kill himself .
what was the reason for?
to much pressure or no success anymore or drugs or too much alcohol or maybe a women or no money? who knows
but if one of these things happened to him thats not worth it to kill his own life my goodness.Life goes on today is a shid day and tomorrow is a nice day thats life
aphasia1972 2 years ago
His life was just not the way he wanted it to be. You can feel free to ask all these obnoxious questions, but i almost went through with killing myself. Its just because you can't handle life anymore, and im sure it was completely personal.

man, cant shake that solo at 3 seconds in. probably one of my favorite boston songs...

Hello!
