@tzimtzum1618 That's paranoid talk. You can here the noise at 0:07, you can here it at 00:13, you can hear it at 00:16 ect. It's just a noise in the background that can be heard consistently. The object is part of the video legitimately, but it's not a UFO, it's a satellite travelling at low orbit at 15,000km/h to 27,000 km/h.

@tzimtzum1618 The point is you can hear the same "key stroke" multiple times throughout the video every 4 - 6 seconds, making it very clear that the noise is not relevant to the object zipping across the sceen . If your going to debunk UFO claims, at least don't make up baseless theories implying that he made the object zip across the screen happen by pressing the key to make it happen (you are not making any claims, but that's what you are implying). It is clearly a low orbit satellite.

The object is moving too fast to be space junk in my opinion, and is not orbiting the earth, so a satellite would not be a logical explanation for what was seen. I'm not sure if NASA has identified the object or not, but if you really cared about legitimate UFO hunting, you would know the difference between a 'bunk' case and a legitimate case. This 'UFO over Hurricane Irene' is a 'bunk' case.

There are 13,000 satellites orbiting the earth and it only take 90 minutes for them to make one full round. If you honestly believe that what was seen cannot be identified, then you would make a horrible astronomer.

It can only be classified as a UFO attempts have been made to identify it rationally and there are no explanations for what it could be based on available information. Low orbit satellite travel at about 27,400 km/h, and the speed is consistent with what was seen in the video.

it slowly comes in from the bottom left, stops for half a second...pick up speed, (0-x speed) instantly, goes about 85% up the screen, stops for a second then does a zig zag type of thing for the final 15% till it goes off screen

@scottasing I think you are right. Satellites orbiting the Earth make one orbit every 90 minutes and cover a circumference of about 40,000 kilometers. This works out to about 445 kilometers per minute or 26,000 kilometers/hour which is 17,000 miles per hour. The object in the video was moving very fast and the shape and size was consistent with a satellite.

the problem i have with the smudge theory...

there are plenty of smudges of the glass, we can all see this...as the camera moves all smudges should appear to move at an equal distance since the glass itself isnt moving but the camera is...which if you watch the original...it dosnt

also, if you watch the original...it goes from the left, no smudge...pans to the right, goes back left..then it comes into play

It's a smudge on the camera glass cover, it is very small and is in set in place on the camera cover, which is clear. the smudge moves in front of the sats you can see that. very small.
