  • dont worry about the size of the jumps; like you said, it was your first show so its better to start off small and build up, because you dont know what your horse will be like at a show until youve been to one... :) and its obvious you have the capability to jump higher so it doesnt matter :) i also saw your other video and trust me... ive seen people ride much worse than that on their own horses, and ive had far worse falls ;) xx

  • darn good eq

  • Hey, Isn't that at Huntington? I show there all there (:

  • He's gorgeous. :) You two look good together.

  • I watched your other video "Worst riding of my life" and I have to say.. if that is the worst you can manage.. you are bad at being bad!! Actually, you have a beautiful seat.. honestly, one of the most solid ones I've seen in a long time. And one of the more recent comments is correct, you are capable of much higher than this, so why does it matter what height this is? People could learn a lot from you.

You are great! Everyone misses a distance once in a while. So what?!

  • what show is this??

  • good job. he is green as we can see. you did a great job and he was willing to jump. most green horses refuse to jump. our pony Chunky is green he can jump 4 ft but refuses to because he is green and is scared. good job and i hope he progresses into a great jumper.

  • ppl need to shut up about the jumps being smalll! you can tell by the way the girl is riding that she is capable of jumping higher! the horse is def green! that is the same situation of mine! i am able to jump high but i am working wit a green horse! great job btw!

  • hmm ur a good rider the horse looked new to it and i think u did great

  • It annoys me how people go on about the jumps being small. They should know that it's not how high you jump, but how you jump and be able to judge from the video if the rider can jump higher or not, and it's obvious you can, even though it was a few years ago, lovely riding :)

  • Thank you. Obviously this horse was green at the time and of course I have jumped/shown/trained consistantly over much higher fences. Sheesh. :)

  • @horselifer88

How big do u jump now?

  • how long have u been riding??:)

  • I think Broken was actually legitimately asking how high the jumps were...

Good thing he was willing to actually jump those :) Most of my horses would rather step over it.

  • what were the fences 1 foot? anyways u did really well.......

  • Wow. Shut the fuck up.

  • I don't know if you are familiar with showing, but verticals are rarely place below 2 feet. The smallest fence heights are 18 inches and those are in short stirrup and similar divisions. These fences were a legit 2 feet. No, not big, very small, and i mentioned this. This video is so old! Taken a few years ago.

  • :O awesomee job! what did you come??

  • I think I rode Tyco at this show, and got two itty bitty strides in the one stride--at least you didn't do that! And how I managed that on a 16.3 mare, I have no clue. Nice riding and changes!

  • I knew this horse looked familiar! Our horses are related. :) Your horse's mom is my horse's grand-dam. I guess good looks run in the family! ;)

  • the horse isn't obese...he looks healthy and energetic. How can you say he is obese when u don't even know how much the horse weighs, ur just going by looks which doesn't mean anything

  • Goodness gracious, Johnny's on fire! =D

Is he a pony? I can't tell, but he doesn't have a lot of leggy ISH' legs on him... Still GAWGUS though.

  • hahaha he is zippy!! i am trying to train my horse after eventing training... he loves to run to the fences. you look much better than me doing it though- half the time i am hanging against my horse's mouth- "aah! slow down!!". your horse is adorable, btw. my friend had an irish sport horse and they are awesome jumpers!

  • thanks! Its not really that he is "zippy" he is just very unimpressed by small fences.

  • This horse is NOT fat at all. I have a thoroughbred, who is around that weight, and he is a PRO jumper. Weight doesn't have anything to do with is.

  • :) Great to hear that...some horse's metabolize their food differently and it isn't a matter of "fittness" or FAT vs SKINNY...this particular horse is bred to be thicker (irish sport horse) and actually has a thyroid disorder that he is now on supplements for.

  • Why do hunters always has morbidly obese horses?

  • What's worse is riders commenting on things they obviously know nothing about, while sitting at home eating potatoe chips in front of their computer screen for hours.

Not sure what you are talking about as hunter do not always have obese animals, nor is it even common.

    :)

  • Hmm Cause you would know. I see plenty of fat hunters

All I see is a horse that could stand to lose 100 pounds. still a cute horse tho.

  • I like ur way of thinking Hunters are ridiculase. haha

  • Ahhhh bless! He's gorgeous!! He's an amazing jumper and you handle him sooo well!! good luck with him
