  • morons!!! get info u morons

  • poor girl, she did not know what she was getting herself into.

  • the DJ's are right. this is what is killing live, radio comedy. she signed a waver, which the lawers should have taken care of. ya know, the station here used to have hot-dog eating contests, stun-gun tolerence contests, and all kinds of amazing stuff, to give out concert tickets. now its all "caller 9" or "texter 93" and all kinds of gay stuff...

  • She was trying to win a Wii

  • I dont actually understand wot this is about? Was it a competition to see who could drink the most water? And if so why didnt she just lie and pretend that she had drunk lots of water? Its on radio afterall. Im sure theres a Darwin award in here somewhere

  • the djs clearly knew the dangers, damn idiots

  • What's myspace? lol

  • The djs may not be legally responsible because of those releases...but they caused that woman's death.

  • @MissusLadyL Actually thats not true.

Thats like saying I can shoot you in the head if you sign a release form. A legal contract is null and void if it involves a crime

  • I almost died of drinking too much water, because I had hiccups that wouldn't go away. That happened the same year Jennifer Strange died: 2007.

  • Some of the fault does lie with her though. When she complained her head hurts, she should have understood that this was her limit and removed herself from the competition. She was an adult and should have made an educated choice at that point in time, between continuing for a Wii or taking her health and safety as highest priority.

Though she must have had the impression the discomfort would soon pass, and that the competition was harmless and safe for her physical wellbeing.

  • The dj's aren't responsible for that woman's death. That mother should've stopped when she was feeling sick. That mother just should have bought a nintendo wii for her children, instead of entering in a stupid contest.

  • @Wolfbloodvamps171 yes they are! they fucking didnt care, i hope they never work again, they are fucking murderers! they should be charged with manslaughter! fuck them...are you their fucking family or something...fuck you

  • The contestants signed releases they knew what was at stake its not the DJs fault at all

  • @anarchyantelope112 YES IT FUCKING IS....STFU. AND FUCKING DIE YOU ASSHOLE! THEY KNEW AND DIDNT FUCKING CARE..SO FUCK OFF

  • This jsut goes to show you what consumerist whores most Americans are. Consume ghastly unnatural amounts of water until beyond sick - all for a video game console. If you ask me, the world is far better off without these types of people.

  • its not the dj's fault. its the people who are paying the dj's.the people that are above the dj's.

  • Well at least it wasn't hold you shit for as long as you can for some shit.

  • its the woman's fault, she should have stopped after she started feeling bad, especially if she had kids. So basically she risked her life and her kids for a wii. The djs are not at all responsible.

  • @sith00 yes they are they shouldnt have had that contest! FUCK YOU

  • As far as the legal side of this is concerned, I support the DJs. They shouldn't be prosecuted for what someone else did to themselves. The contestants signed releases, and one drank herself to death. Thats terrible, but it would be an injustice to put these people away for something so stupid. What he said was morally wrong. "They signed releases, we're not responsible, okay?", but what he said was true.

  • @6soup6nazi6 fuck off! they knew what they were doing, its their fault for having the contest in the first place..fuck off

  • I feel sorry for the girl but nobody forced her to do it its like a race car driver you can die at any time and its always your choice wether to quit or not

  • you can overdose on water.

but you CAN'T overdose on weed!!!!!!

  • Yes you can.

  • LMAO!

  • your an idiot

  • let's hope this is the end of gonzo stunts and Stern-like behavior

  • Three children, so sad :(

  • they didnt think of the safety

what fools VJ suck in sf

  • they knew the dangers but continued anyway, they deserved to be fired. Seriously. The way they just blew off that nurse that tried to warn them.

  • You can die by drinking too much water too quickly. Some hikers have died because they drank too much water. They recommend to eat something salty to help the body deal with so much water. Hyper-hydration screws up your electrolyte levels which can be fatal.

  • Yeah also drink sports drinks like Gatorade or Powerade, which contain electrolytes and sodium.

That said, water poisoning is VERY rare. You'd have to drink quite a lot, and especially if you sweat out a lot too. In the history of marathons in the US, only 5 runners have died of water intoxication. And how many millions have run?

  • Yes it is very rare. It has happened but it is rare.

  • dam even if she coulda won a wii, this was a bad idea. even if water intoxication dont happen that much, its still a dumbass idea to have a contest like this.

  • What a dumb way to die!!!!!

  • When they ignored what that nurse said, it was depraved indifference to human life. That's second degree murder in California (25-to life Maximum).

  • i feel terrible for her kids. she was in the contest to get them a wii---and now that they don't have a mom.

  • These stupid radio DJs are always trying any kind of shit to get a fat paycheck and become a media star.

They don't give a fuck about you or anyone else.

They are just as responsible as the management for this woman's death, and probably more so because they were first at the scene!! They joked on air about her dying!!

They should fucking rot in hell and NEVER be allowed on radio again.

  • I don't see why...the fools signed releases.

  • That last comment by the DJs was disgusting. They basically admitted that they KNEW that they could die or get sick, but they couldn't care less because they had signed releases. What a couple of jerks.

  • Yeah, I agree as probably everyone else. That's also probably the reason why the head honchos at the station fired them because that nonchalant attitude they were displaying admist Mrs. Strange's intoxication complaints reflected poorly on the station itself.

  • water overdose. lol epic fail

  • Right, because you already knew you could overdose on water, right professor?

    You fail. Now shut up.

  • lol anyone in the military knows you can die of water overdose so you Steeveriffic are and EPIC FAIL,.... now you my friend SHUT THE FUCK UP :)

  • And how many people are in the military as a percentage of overall population? Not many. Obviously none of the people competing in the contest knew either. But they were warned.

So, that's an EPIC FAIL for you because:

    1) Your argument sucks

    2) You have no point

    3) You can't spell

    4) You use the term EPIC FAIL

    5) 1, 2, 3 & 4 = You're stupid

    Good try, though.

Tip: don't try to argue with people smarter than you; it just makes you look even dumber, if that's possible.

  • wow...

    1. a typo from the word "and" which was supposed to be "an".... hmm means i can't spell?? you're a fucking genius hahahaha i bet you're from the south aren't you faggot???

    2. the argument doesn't suck since the lady was in the military and had just gotten out.

3.there is a point only inbred faggots such as yourself wouldn't ever understand that.

4.EPIC FAIL's definition is your entire life because you have the time to attempt to break down everyone's comment on youtube :D Good One

  • I hate it when dumbass people use smilies in their idiotic little "Debates".

    1. Whats wrong with the south? If anything your incestual activities spawned of your being there

    2. The arguement was illprepared and laid out as if you had the writing abilities of an 8 year old

    3. If you want a real arguement then atacking credibility is the worst thing you can do. Want a good arguement? Dont act like a mutual dickface

    4. It seems like you do to, smart ass

  • it's spelled ARGUMENT not ARGUEMENT you retard.

  • Lets settle this with a cold glass of wine and a night of no regrets ;)

  • Those DJs desserved waht they got; they knew someone could die. Anything less than firing them would be insult to Jennifer.

  • It's not the DJ's fault.. Like they said, she signed a release form.

She should've just waited it out, I didn't drink a retarded amount of water for a Wii, I bought it like a normal person.

  • they said she looked three months pregnant, after she consumned all that water. Than the radio station actually got warning calls fro people about water intoxication, and they ignored them.

  • hey this kills over 1 americans a year take it seriously! heh..

On an actual serious note the djs wtc weren't responsible because the waivers that were signed weren't qabout health and safety issues.. but they were all fired. Unlucky woman.

  • Dying for minigames and waggle. Massive lulz.

  • I feel sorry for her. She was only trying to win the Wii so that her kids would be happy. And you know how hard it is to get a Wii?? I camped overnight in order to get one a year ago. And even today, they are still hard to get. Those radio show hosts sound like complete dicks to me. They don't really help her or offer her any advice.

  • *Cries* How can one live without a Wii! I guess she couldn't live WITH one. HA!

  • =|

You're such a loser. How do you stand being so fucking stupid? I dont get it.

  • Probably the same way you handle wearing a helmet and going on the short bus.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrSibghat LMFAO! the fact that ur making a religious reference would stipulate that youre some kind of christian which makes u hypocrite and a pathetic excuse for a moral person given how youre wishing that upon me.. lol. would jesus say something like that to someone? i think not.

  • I don't think ANY concert ticket or whatever the hell it was is worth making a fool of yourself much LESS DYING for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She died for our sins.

  • if "libel suit" exist in U.S, how come those dj's were not responsible at least for jennifer'case alone. of course contestant didn't signed but the radio station are the media in which there is a policy which is for the good of their listener otherwise its a destructive behavior policy for the ppl.

  • Hell yeah; bitch should have just done what we would've done - stolen it!

  • Lol Pre-meditated murder? ^_^ Sounds like someone needs to do some hard time bitches

  • The DJ's and the Radio station shoud be sued and prosecuted criminally. They are complete morons. Most intelligent adults are aware that drinking large quantities of H20 can be dangerous. A nurse called to warn tham and they ignored her advice. Someone from the radio station needs to do some time.

  • "yea we're aware of that!"

    guilty.

  • The is bad news. Listen to the original recording. They take the contest out of order to make the DJ's seem more bad. It is a tragic thing, but to have the media portray it incorrectly is sickening. I hate the sensationalist media. Anything to make a tragedy look worse I tell ya...

  • That DJ, look at his apology video. Adam Cox, what a DICK!! That kind of shit should not be broadcast on the radio, and people who listen to that crap should not be allowed to interact with the rest of society. I guess it's funny until someone DIES!!!

  • The DJs are entirely to blame for this. Their lack of research shows how irresponsible the three of them were. I dont see how anyone can blame the victim for this tragic incident. I hope they serve time in jail

  • DJs are guilty as is the radio station they work for. None of them are Doctors, none of them consulted a Doctor. Even after a nurse warned them they continued and didn't get that poor woman help. Her death was an uncomfortable one they should pay.

  • Jennifer was my friends wife. He will never be the same because of those people.

  • Please accept my condolences. It's sad because she was only trying to make her kids happy. I'm sure she was a lovely person.

  • that is ridiculous. He may never be the same, but it is totally his choice to let this incident affect his life at all. He could go on just as easily tomorrow, with no consideration about this death.

  • I'm truly sorry for her death, but nonetheless didn't she have enough common sense in her head to know just how dangerous this "contest" would be? Did she not have enough money to simply BUY the fucking thing? At least then she'd probably still be alive for her kids; that's more important than a damned piece of electronic shit that's not going to be able to love you and do anything more than provide transient moments of "entertainment." Now those kids lost their mother FOREVER. What a doink.

  • No, most people have no idea that you can die from drinking too much water like this. Who would think that you can, you would think that you would just pee for days. Stop trying to put it on her. Why would she think a Radio Contest to see how much water you could drink would be deadly???? That is just a lame cop out I hear from people. she is fucking DEAD! Not hurt, not sick..>DEAD and her husband lost his wife, and her kids now have no mother. You people make me sick.

  • No shit Sherlock, I KNOW she's DEAD!! That's part of my point in my last message! Had she have NOT taken part in the contest, odds are she'd still be alive for her hubby & kids. And the radio DJ's...didn't they sign indemnity statements, relieving them of any responsibility (such as injury, death, etc. to the contestants)? And docs were even calling in to the station before Jennifer took part in the thing, saying how dangerous it could be? Why belabor all this anyway; she's dead, but it's sad.

  • You are a moron to think that she would have any idea that water would kill her. In fact, if there posed any obvious risk, the radio station would never have decided to this contest. Your posthumous judgement of this poor woman is ignorant.

  • Jennifer IS my wife, dumb bitch didnt know I played Microsoft

  • lmao

  • The DJs ARE responsible. I wish Melvin Belli was alive still, he'd prove that the release signed means nothing.

  • sorry, the woman had total control to stop...shes the idiot!

  • are you kidding me? no one warned her that excess water could harm or KILL her. the DJs IGNORED the possibility of water intoxication. she went in to the contest believing that at worst she was going to feel bloated but able to win a Wii system for her family.

  • dude you are a complete moron how could you even say that.people like you digust me show some respect i mean how ignorant do you have to be to say something like that

  • Why is it important to assign responsibility to someone. This was a tragic accident. The radio station cannot be blamed for what seemed like a harmless stunt. It is sickening to see lawyers benefitting from such a tragic outcome.

  • It's not an accident if you were warned of the consequences and had time to stop it but ignored the warnings and continued anyway. That's recklessness.

  • yes, but they didnt know that it could cause the person to die, cna you imagine how the dj must feel kn owing that hes responsible for a death of some kids mom? thats punishment enough losing his job is bad too, but he can find another station to work at...

  • Yes they did know it could kill someone, when the nurse called in! Listen to what the DJs say, "Ya we're aware of that, we are not responsible they signed waivers."

  • has anyone ever nagged at you for hours and you just said 'yeah yeah' because you thought their concerns were unfounded? That's what happened to these guys..

they made a mistake.. YOU might think it's a big one,

    but that's your own opinion.
