BUT BURTON?? the best ever... no one can be compared to him.. i think that after his death metallica were not the thrash band we knew from 1983-1986.. burton was the main reason metallica reached to the top cause he influenced all of em and wrote many songs in all the albums he was.. he was the best and he will always will. Cliff was and still is one of my all time heroes!! I managed to meet him and have a beer with him and James Hetfield backstage at Doninngton Monsters of Rock back in 86!! I think he had more of an influence on Metallica than we will ever realize!!! They've done some great stuff since! But i dont think they have ever recaptured that spark since he was killed!!

This event marked the end of an era in metal industry, although the "...And Justice For All" album still has his contibution in some of the songs composition.
