I visited Spain once. It rarely rains and there is continual drought. Everyone is lazy and no-one works. They are cruel to animals and they all smoke. @Make1true Barcelona is very versatile with many think to do even around the city in less than 1/2 hour (like Portaventura big amusement park or beach area called "costa brava)"and Rome is more about italian food and history. I been in both places and both are very nice cities to visit.

be careful around La Rambla after dark. LOT of prostitutes hanging about who refuse to take no for an answer!
Stayed there for a week in June 09, just off La Rambla. My advice, stay in the gothic quarter, it's a nicer area!
