  • You're so damn pretty, women don't usually like comics especially women as gorgeous as you, I wish I could find a chick like you but unfortunately the ones I've been with are usually not into the things I am and definately not as hot as you. Your reviews are good so keep posting them and I'll keep watching. :)

  • -subscribed shes a hottie

  • is this in trade collection yet?

  • @XAzzuroX I doubt it, it just wrapped up so probably not for a while.

  • they are making another spidey movie

  • Spidey is my bread & butter. anything to do w/ Venom, im all over it. This series is looking good, even though carnage in the most recent issue takes a strange turn.

anyways i could talk about Spidey all day.

  • I what that cover of carnage and venom as a tattoo it's so freaking sick. Love that cover!!!!

  • I just what to thank you for doing a review.

  • I subscribed to u. wrote something not repeating what I wrote I hate typing on my cellphone always have problems.lol

  • lol cereal ads...

  • Hey have you read the Maximum Carnage series ? If you haven't I would recomend it pretty good storyline one of the best in spider-man storylines

  • a pretty girl...that knows comics?

    NO WAYY!!!

  • The "death" of Carnage in New Avengers was such bs. The character had new abilities out of the blue he never had before and you never actually see Cletus or any evidence that the symbiote even had a human host. I think the "life force drain" could be easily explained by saying that the symbiote briefly possessed Karl Lykos and adapted his powers. Which would then suggest that if Carnage drained a mutant that he would mutate into a winged monster with hypnotic powers.

  • Crain was the perfect artist for XForce.

  • @ilikecomicstoo yea hopefully someones bound to bring Cletus back but there is another problem: will he return to the symbiote, or will marvel do something new with him?

  • @ilikecomicstoo nice review, but what i hate about marvel is that they never really tried to develop carnage's character and kept him on a one dimensional line. alot of fans agree that if marvel fleshed out carnage more, he could've been a terrifying spidey villain with a deep character heck an origin story for cletus wouldve been great

  • @firetools I'd love to see some kind of origin issue for Cletus as well! Maybe they'll consider that in the future. For now, I'm looking forward to the new Venom run - it looks like someone new will take on the symbiote and get fleshed out, so to speak. :D

  • @ilikecomicstoo

Well his origin story has been touched upon in quite a few Spiderman issues (albeit briefly). Off the top of my head, a 2 part issue where the carnage symbiote bonds to the silver surfer, his life as an extremely abused child comes to light.

  • @rencrow Ooh, that's interesting! I'll have to look into those.

  • Looks computerized

  • agree, art style looks great

  • can your bird dance like that whip my hair parrot?

  • @kurumais Haha, I don't think so! She does dance, though. She bops her head and chirps to Cee Lo Green.

  • the six arm spider was doppleganger not carnage

  • @dakenhowlett Yup, someone clarified that before. Thanks! :)

  • @ilikecomicstoo crains art is beautiful, i have a rough drawing from him. me and my wife met him in calgary. i did a video of it

  • "...incarnation of Carnage" hehe :)

I like the art as well... If I had gone into making comic's artwork, I would have probably loved doing realistic like art (maybe adding a bit of 3D into it).

  • is this where comic nerds come to masturbate?

  • Another wonderful review. I'd definitely like to check this out. That mere sample of the artwork is amazing! But I guess that style explains why it comes out every two months.

It's probably going to be a whole year before the whole series comes out in one collection. Considering checking this out! Thanks!

  • @regisor94 I agree! But the wait is so worth it. Thanks for your comment!

  • Agree COMPLETELY about the art! Oh and kudos for the NIGHTCRAWLER pictures on the wall behind you...=)!!

  • @Bamfism Thanks! I've got four Nightcrawler figures on my desk, too, haha.

  • The Ultimate version of Carnage actually has very little to do with the 616 (or the Carnage from this mini) hm and Gwen never interacted. Prior he was just a serial killer given the spawn of the venom symbiont which came from the Battleplanet. So, those stories are unrelated.

  • @agent42q I know of his original incarnation, thanks for the clarification!

  • moooooooooooooooother!....classic

    Crain is AMAZING!!!

  • moooooooooooooooother!....classic

  • I have to say unfortuantely I am not a big fan of Crains art. And Carnage? Nope. This is a series I'll be passing on.

Good review though. Keep 'em coming.

  • @energon Aww! Thank you though, hopefully I'll do some more reviews soon of stuff you like. :)

  • @chivita7777 Thanks!

  • Great review! ^^ Wow, Carnage is back, I thought Sentry killed him? :S Guess the symbiote survived.

Have you checked out Anti-Venom, ilikecomicstoo? He's got a three-part series at the moment, and damn...all I can say is that my favorite Marvel character, Eddie Brock, is back with a passion.

I follow The Amazing Spider-Man weekly. ^^ Subscribed to that series atm, and only that one for now.

  • @ddp380 I haven't, but I've always been really interested in Anti-Venom (since Venom is my favorite Spidey villain). I'll totally look it up, thanks!

  • Clayton Crain does good work, his Ghost Rider is killer.

  • As for getting into Spider-Man comics, the Essential Spider-Man trade paperbacks are a good place to start. The art is in black and white, but you get a lot of classic issues from the original run of Amazing Spider-Man, which is cool, plus there are a lot of important story arcs you'll get to read in it, like Spidey's first battle with the Kingpin, etc. Stan Lee's dialog is kind of cheesy since it was the 60s/70s, but the stories and art still hold up well today.

  • I guess they're going to have the new host for Carnage be a woman, which should be cool. Cletus Kasady was always a two dimensional Joker ripoff, so having a fresh new character that can have some depth to her will be good for Carnage in general.

  • @SolidThugKnuckles I kind of liked Cletus! D: As a villain, I mean.

  • "Theres an angry mob behind me, isn't there?" too funny haha

if you liked Crain's work here you should check out when he did Ghost Rider "Road To Damnation" its amazing!! also his run on XForce and Necrosha is notable

  • I love crain art work. So real looking. I did not get a chance to pick this comic up. Forgot about it. But ill pick it up soon

  • i really liked this issue too. Im not new to Carnage storys however this comic had me puzzled in some parts. i saw you have the venom/carnage mini too. i think that is also written and drawn by the same team as this new carnage comic. If you like that venom/carnage story i think u would like the mini series Toxin. Different art but it follows toxin (person introducted in venom/carnage. GREAT REVIEW AND HAPPY COMIC READING

  • @KorimTV I know about Toxin! :D I've been meaning to look into him, he's interesting as a different side of the symbiotes.

  • Good comic. Great art. Your eyes are amazing! BTW Ultimate has nothing to do with reg Marvel.

  • @hardass77 Ooh, thanks! That's good to know. :D

  • carnage is my fav yo

  • sweet im going to get it :)

  • The Carnage you described is not Carnage. his name is Spiderman's Doppelganger named well, Doppelganger. The story is basically like a sequel to Maximum Carnage from the 90's with Shriek back. I'm hoping in this series that she becomes the new Carnage. Also great review as usually. Glad you liked the mini.

  • @Tigerkaya Ohhh. Interesting! I will update the video to reflect this info, thank you! :D

  • Dear HawkGirl;

The freaking Black Lanterns are like, time warping me into a deathly flame state of...what the, hey, I know this place, what up Lucifer! Dude, how did the Hellish Red Weedz turn out, bra? Bro, you got any more flame powers for me, these undead supers SUCK...just gonna put me in a repeating time loop of apparent endless suffering first as the price of the knowledge, awesums ,so Dr Doomish, hit me! (warp) OH YEAH, Wonder TwinFlame Powers, Activate! <3 flames n luv, Firefly

  • @TheElCabronsito

    Dear Firefly:

Your predicament sounds unfortunate and unpleasant, but at least it appears you still have Internet access. And at least in Lucifer's care, you won't be setting anything alive and innocent on fire. Also, you are insane.

I'll be sure to tell Hawkman you say hello.

    Take care,

    Hawkgirl

  • @ilikecomicstoo

Thangarians, go figure, you send them a message from Hell, and they wonder if you have 6g yet. Yes, Lucifer has the MAD tech, chick! Hawk chick! ha ha, anyways, yeah, I am on your side, you will see, I punish those who need to learn, they burn that they might have a less steep cure of knowledge as their crisping skin sends signals of morals to them who need the lesson, ha ha, you may be right ,I may be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic Star Sapphire is looking for...
