Trust me, it works. Only on the cheap locks that are exactly like the ones in the video. Takes a couple tries, and you can't always re-use the metal piece because it gets bent out of shape. But it really does work. It helped me open my locker when I forgot my combination in the first week of school. I was so shocked when it opened, like literally I was gasping in amazement XD Though that was only on my 3rd try.
