i kept those 2 nest then i put them in something then when 2 days after ant's ate them i had egg and larvae then after that it became to rain and the nest went flat >.,<
This is another animal I kept as a kid (just the eggs and larvae). My dad had found an abandoned wasp nest, didn't know anything was alive in there and gave it to me. When I found out there were live grubs in there, I kept it secret from my parents and took care of it. The larvae ate crushed spiders with water through a tiny dropper. Problem was, some leaked onto the paper and eventually the larvae started eating the cells they were in that had gotten wet. Ants killed them after a few days.
Cool! Wish I had tried that! I had wanted to hang the nest back outside once some of them had at least pupated and then fed the larvae until an adult came out.
we have hides everywhere in the countryside house, i mean sometimes there're several hives in a single room! it's very troubling. Though ours seems to be Paravespula Germanica
they eat almost everything. well i doubt if they'd eat something rotten. anyhow, what's eatable for us is (mostly) eatable for them, especially sweat stuff and meat, that's how it's for our wasps at least
Awesome I keep them as pets LOL they are actually really tame once they know you. I saw that giant hornet queen fly at ya LOL if a wasp or hornet initiates contact away from the nest your chances of getting stung are small to none.
I understand ur wasp-phobia to some extent, and I don't mean to offend or persuade u.
As u know, they sting only when in self defense. They collect nest materials mainly from plant fibers. They have a big role in pest control in ur backyard.
I prefer living with various insects around my house.
Anyway, thanks for watching. Happy youtubing and happy bugs' life!
think of it this way we watch out if people get near our home that look suspect there doing the same thing for the same reason to protect there home this is all they have

i reminded some more funny things about our vesps.
when you're drying fish if you don't cover it with gauze very meticulously you will have a skeleton next morning
Diatomus 2 years ago
wow, do they eat dead fish?
sounds interesting!

i have posted several footages of various wasps.
plz check out my waspy playlists at the top of my channel if u have some time & interests.

wow, u are a great expert, indeed!
now i watched some of ur vids.
u seem to have an impressive collection of exotic pets.
phew, it took a while to read ur detailed article about wasp-keeping at venomlist dot com.
really appreciate for sharing with us.
it was quite informative (i saved it!).
as for the wasp-caring, few guidance documents are easily available in jpn, either.

for the past few years, i have tried to observe their nesting by a foundress.
but every time, my secret project came to an abrupt end due to the colony destruction by other ppl (or hornets?).
it was frustrating!
so i come to consider keeping a captive colony of paper wasps.
i am really interested in their life but i may have allergy to their venom....

y dont u kill them?
drunkenstepdaddy 4 years ago
